    Morning

    Plan for today

Early morning cleaning job - Done
    DH salad made - Done
    Kitchen tidy - Done
Wash on and out - Done
    The Shred

DS and I are spending the day with my mother-in-law decorating her spare bedroom and helping her tidy her house in time for visitors at the end of the month.

She is actually doing me a favour. I have friends from Essex who usually go on holiday to five star, all inclusive holidays in exotic places, but they have been credit crunched like a lot of us.

Fortunately for me they are coming to stay here instead. My friends and their two boys are staying with us, and her mother and father are staying with my MIL.

    Must dash.

Scrooge, thank you. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said "happiness is a perfume which you cannot pour on someone without getting some on yourself".

As well as inspiring me, I have no doubt that you are inspiring many others on the MSE forum. :A

Wow, scrooge as usual you got a lot done first thing this morning. I'm sure you and your DS will enjoy spending the day with MIL. It is always much more fun decorating/tidying for other people than it is doing it at home.

Wilf, your weekly list sounds like it will keep you busy this week. Regarding the weight loss/fitness yep we are all aiming for that but at least you are keeping active doing lots of other things so remember that is another form of exercise.

    Enjoy your day everyone.

wilf, I hope you get your 15 mins nap. You will be surprised how much energy a power nap can give you to enable you to cross off more from your list.

You may not feel like you have done much (I always feel that way) but you have... just look at what you have achieved so far. I think you need to acknowledge and give yourself a pat on the back for all you have been doing especially by helping your DS to achieve his golfing dreams/goals. :T:T

    Hi,

It looks to me like you both had very productive days yesterday.

I was going great guns. DS and I made a lovely job of painting MIL's spare room, and I should have stopped there. However, I was on a role and when she asked me if I could lay some vinyl for her in the bathroom there was no stopping me, despite DS's misgivings.

Anyway, I made a complete hash of it. Although I used the old vinyl as a template, I managed to cut out the sink and loo in the wrong place and no amount of stretching would get them to fit.

I bet you would have made a good job of it wilf, where did I go wrong?

So, i'm going to buy her some new vinyl and get it professionally fitted this week, which is going to cost £130.00 :o. Added to this is the £200.00 insurance excess that we are going to have to pay for the dining room window to be replaced (DH was practicing his golf swing in the back garden and lobbed a golf ball through it). That's a total of £330.00 unplanned expenditure this month, already, that could have been avoided.

    Onwards and upwards.

    Plan for today

    Grapefruit detox day 1
    [STRIKE]Dress to shoes[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Wash on and out[/STRIKE]
    Sparkpeople
    [STRIKE]Kitchen tidy[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Lunches ready[/STRIKE]
    Invoices to AS and Tern
    [STRIKE]Order new vinyl for MIL[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Drop DS off at MIL - spending day with his cousin[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Accounts job[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Meet up with friend, who's just back from holidays, for a coffee.[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Small shop at Lidls[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Fill up with diesel[/STRIKE]
DS holiday project work - tidy house
Send more information to Solicitors re: client
    [STRIKE]Collect parcels from P/O[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Collect headed paper and cards from printer[/STRIKE]
Work on action points for IC
    Check IC has paid me
    Check accounts
[STRIKE]Check progress report on DS bike[/STRIKE]
    Organise appointments for AS
    [STRIKE]Scallops for tea[/STRIKE]
    Chill - Body pump class/Jacuzzi/Sauna - LTPJ -- FTC
