Made 2 overpayments to the mortgage today, £300 to part 1 and £240 to part 2 - hopefully will make another overpayment next week when off work.

I am enjoying holiday days accrued before I start my new contract which is 3 days term-time which will be great when DD goes to school in 2 years time.

Downstairs toilet is not finished yet - but hopefully this weekend and then we will need to paint and get lino before christmas.

Was getting my pre-op assessment and told that I may be going into hospital mid november to get rid of the kidney stones.

Made another overpayment of £200 to the mortgage today so its a total overpayment of £740 for October.

Been on a major spending spree getting myself new jumpers, clothes for work and a winter coat (all badly needed) - so today was a expensive day and all on the CC so will be paid off next month.

Bought DD her first pair of proper black boots - she loves them and wearing them everyday.

Found out that the regular saver that I started for christmas will not expire until 1st December even though started last october - not too happy about this. I think I will buy the christmas presents in November using some money from ISA and then put back the money when regular saver is finished.

Since my job is now term-time we decided to book our summer holiday - so its booked (through topcashback, of course) and is something to look forward to and hubbie only has to get the time off (should not be a problem) as we are going the 1st week of the scottish school holidays. We are going to a caravan park outside Scarborough for a whole 14 days (hurrah!!)

You are doing brilliantly with the paying off. Sounds like a good days shopping. I am seeing lots of great boots this year and am suffering boot envy! I think it starts in childhood as I remember the excitement of my first real boots when I was about 5, I still love that feeling of new boots , new coat.

well the total overpayment for the month of October is £750

    1st July mortgage £115322.37/daily interest £13.57/monthly
    1st Aug mortgage £113872.36/daily interest £13.43
    31st Aug mortgage £112801.16/daily interest £13.30
    30th Sept mortgage £111661.99/daily interest £13.14
    31st Oct mortgage £110542.34/daily interest £13.02

The balance is certainly coming down quite nicely at the moment since I am using money received from an old endowment to overpay extra every month.

Managed to get new door handle on the downstairs toilet and just waiting for FIL to do the wall with jibrock and then it can get painted hopefully before xmas so it can get painted.

Today was hubbie's birthday so he had a nice day at the home with people visiting and my mum and dad over for dinner. Yesterday we were at his parents for dinner. DD was taken out for her 1st halloween and visited 3 houses - enjoyed it and has got lots of sweets and a bit of fruit. We had a quite a few kids visiting us and got rid of all our goody bags made up.

Going to find out if the local rugby club is doing the firework display again on friday so me and daughter can go with friend and her daughter as hubbie is at BB's that night.

Need to try to start doing christmas shopping for friends and family soon since it will be November tomorrow.

Made overpayment to the mortgage on saturday £300 to part 1 and £200 to part 2 of the mortgage.

Took money out of my ISA to start the family christmas shopping and will refund when regular saver expires in December. Made a bit of inroad to the christmas shopping and hope to do more this saturday as hubbie babysitting.

This saturday we are going out to a charity celidh courtesy of hubbie work contacts - hope its a good night. Then next tuesday into hospital for overnight stay - not looking forward to this but needs must.

Hubbie car needed a bit of work done to it during the service today so this is on the CC and will need to be paid next month - the joys.

Well we did not make it to the charity celidh as I came down with the nasty sickness bug friday night and was in bed all yesterday and lounging about today - feeling better thank goodness. Feeling better just in time as going into hospital tuesday morning for a op and fingers crossed will get out wednesday - DD is being told im on a trip as she is too young and did not like it when I ended up in hospital over the summer for 4 todays.

Hopefully I can get the last bit of the overpayment to the BS later this week with the help of hubbie - we will see what happens.

Christmas shopping will have to wait for a wee while - managed to get something from the book club at school for a christmas present and really pleased about this.

Well got out of hospital this morning and back home - will be getting the painkillers soon. It turns out the kidney stones on my right kidney are in the main kidney so they are unable to get these and Im being asked to attend the clinic in 6-8 weeks (January probably) - What joy.

DD was told I was away on a trip as she is really quite young. Was at home when DD came home with hubbie from nursery and she burst into the room to say what did you buy me on your trip. I had taken a wee thing out of the stocking box for her - wee pink handbag & bracelet - she loved it.
