  • Righto, planning for next 7 days nearly done
    Todays 3pm green lunch/dinner was:

Chickpea/red onion/spinach/galric/cumin/tumeric/tomatoes/chorizo sausage (5 syns worth) mixed with small portion of basmati rice and dollop of HM very low fat yoghurt. All done in 15 mins in a pan and very yummy. All 'free' except for the yummy sausage

Later supper: baked potato, very low fat cottage cheese with HEA grated cheese on top with lettuce we have been given & OH can have baked beans.
HEb's - had toast with boiled egg for latebkfast. Will have weetabix as bedtime snack
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • Hi all, I've been doing exercises based on some Rosemary Conley books - but wouldn't mind following a DVD. Now, I do have 2 left feet, so aerobic would not be my cup of tea.

Can any of you make any suggestions? I'm looking at the RC Triple pack - that looks quite good.

    TIA FFM :)

    Summary from this week:
    • Tuesday - Ice skating 1.5hrs (528 cal)
    • Wednesday - Run 35 min (268 cal)
    • Thursday - Bike ride 53 min (311 cal)
    • Friday - Jog 2hrs 03 min (869 cal)
    • Saturday - Exercise bike 30 min (140 cal)
Total 5hrs 32 min and 2116 calorie burn which is a bit below average (but still exceeds my targets). I'm not happy about the lack of variety, so will be addressing that this week.

Calorie intake will be average of just under my target of 1750/day and my first monthly weigh in is on Wednesday of this week.

Hope everyone's OK :) Nice work on the loss FFM :D

Leverton, did you manage to sort your BMR calculations out?

Grannynise - calorie counting no problem here as I hardly ever eat away from home :p For when I do, I have a publication that gives generic calorie values for loads of different foods, so I make a best guess and then round up and add some extra to make sure I haven't under estimated :)

Just been working on food focus. I've decided that since I'm not yet used to calorie counting, I'm planning ahead using the food log. Then I can print off those pages and use it as an eating plan-so lets see how we go for this week. I'm incorporating some of the rules I used when I was on Sureslim, for example two pieces of fruit are compulsory and one must be an apple. Last time I had problems sticking to that rule because I'm a bit fussy about textures, but I have an RC juicer now which is fantastic-and changes things a bit.
I'm loving the descriptions of activities on the exercise log-house cleaning and child care:) How many of you take that into account?
Just made a batch of hummus too for the weeks snacks-now to decide on dippers for it:think:

Nah, I only log formal exercise sessions. Not interested in quantifying all the business as usual stuff :)

Thanks Missy, I thought as much, just adds up to a bit extra I guess. I do think that I'll log playgroup walks because they are a total of 20 minutes walking time 3 days of the week at least. But then most of my exercise comes from walking DS about in the buggy.

  • nnm, Is the Maximum Impact Workout a dvd? sounds like hard work! What about the core stability you mentioned earlier? Is that like 'body balance'? We have a free lunchtime session at work once a week, I went once - nearly killed me - we didn't seem to be doing much, certainly didn't break into a sweat - but the next day I was walking like I'd just got off my horse :rotfl:

Not sure if I'll be able to do a HHE at 7.15, we've only just finished our roast dinner. 8pm might be a good time.
