    Hi all

I went to the gym to weigh myself today after a week of doing Slimming World. Given that I hadn't gone to the gym all week, either, and that I really did pig out on pasta, and given that I ate way more than I usually do, I am delighted to report that I lost 1.1kg which is a 2.5lbs loss.

My aim was always to lose a kg a week, and I have been unsuccessfully trying to do it for the last few months by doing 5 x 600cal stints at the gym a week (sometimes hard to get all 5 in), and I haven't eaten much, either (between 1000-1200 cals a day).

So quite how SW manages to get one to lose weight when one is averaging 1800 cals a day I shall never know.

But I'm a convert! So thank you to everyone who I saw posting about SW; I'm very glad I decided to give it a try. I'm hoping for another 1kg next week. :)

Pasta, noodles, rice and potatoes: here I come.

Thank you, I am so delighted - I don't really understand how I lost weight, but I'm happy to go with the flow. :D

But seriously, back to the gym this afternoon. I've missed it, and hate feeling so sluggish without exercise. Hopefully it will positively impact any more fat loss. :)

Just wanted to report a 1lb loss this week. I gained 3lb earlier on in the week due to my monthlies so I dont feel that bad about the small loss. I'm exercising like mad but have to admit I drank beer and had pie, chips and curry on the way home from my mates birthday celebration last night!:o

Wel done everyone else, there's some amazing losses going on out there x

  • Well done everyone on some great losses. I'm off work today with a coldy/fluey type thing, I've lost my voice so wouldn't be much good calling the numbers today! (bingo caller!)

I am very impressed with everyone's HHE's and lack of HHSS's :rotfl: I haven't been to the gym for the last 3-4 days because whenever I do any kind of vigorous movement I start having a coughing fit! Not good.

Wondering what's for breakfast - could go all out and have bacon and eggs on toast, may stick to bowl of cereal though  I'm so crap at choosing what to eat and planning meals and so on... My OH doesn't help, never fancies anything! Ah well, we shall see...

Fairly happy with that, my calories will only be 8847 for this week (after my late porridge) so am hoping that I may have lost my Christmas 'add ons'. Weigh in first thing in the morning - but will probably post after work,

Good luck FFM you deserve a loss with that effort.

The last time I had a similar calorie intake to that (8915) I lost 1lb. That was with no exercise as it was during my operation layoff - so be interesting to compare :)

Well done losers! KiKi, looks like the change of plan was just what you needed, good for you.

Mambury, look forward to hearing about your commando session! :D

Morning all - well done on all the great losses this week.
Just finished a good hour of rigourous housework and I will do wii fit later on. I am sticking well to the SW regime and enjoyiong it as I am planning and cooking ahead and not having pasta every day (downfall last time was boring meals)
Will post HHE now as I have done the housework.I will do Wii fit later on around 4pm if anyone wants to join me?
