I want to hear more about this!!!

I've done a 2 hour cross country jog today and it was very cold, but absolutely wonderful! :D No muddy bits - it was all frozen solid!

    Welcome new peeps!

    Well. Now. Mmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnn................

The guy who runs it is ex forces and basically puts you through a workout based on stuff they do in the army, etc. He;s a personal trainer too, I figured I;d give it a go.

I've never been before but a friend of mine has been and in two sessions has lost a dress size and she didn't even diet!

The only thing that is putting me off is its on the beach at 9am tomorrow morning! Its going to be brass monkey's too.!

    :j HAPPY BIRTHDAY KPC!:j
Marion - go and check on Charlie - I've just seen him on the Harvey's advert on TV!!!
I was watching an old Oprah today about massive weight losses, and Tim and I had just shared a bag of salt free crisps, and Oprah said ' you there, sat on the sofa eating chips.....'. We both looked at each other and started laughing! I said hello back to Oprah and gave her a little wave lol! THEN Tod the dog came in proudly carrying the sauce collection from SW in his mouth so I think the signs are there that we are going back to the SW way of eating:rotfl: :rotfl:
Had a very muddy soggy walk today and Tod was black up to his tummy - he has had a tea tree and lavender wash - very smart!
Welcome to our second wave of newbies - this is a great place for support and sharing our weight loss journeys!
This weekend we are away on Sunday night as the gym I belong to has a dinner thing for their members. It is in a posh hotel in York, and as part of the membership we get a free night so we are taking it on Sunday and making a real treat of it - I've even booked Tim and I in for back neck and shoulder massages on Monday.

I have been reading a book by Dr Ali ( a natural health doctor) and one of his theories about people with weight that won't shift is that there may have been some neck trauma at some stage in their lives, and the blood supply to the hypothalamus is somehow compromised, making the emotional eating a lot worse. He reckons that regular neck massage can help with emotional eating - professional or at home. He gives a description of how to do a therapuetic ayurvedic neck massage to a partner which we keep meaning to try! The trouble is (I think this applies to all boys) that Tim thinks any sort of massage will lead to further exercise (:rotfl: ) and that's not always the case;) . Hey ho.

Found the above interesting as I have quite a problem with my neck that was dignosed about 12 years ago. If I don't carry my head correctly I pass out coz the blood suppy doesn't get to where it's needed in my brain! It is also the root cause of a lot of my back problems so I will make sure I do my neck exercises and massage it every night. You never know!!:j

I love that advert! Only difference is that Charlie has a slightly shorter hair cut, and if someone in the family jumped onto the sofa, Charlie would not jump off, he would jump straight on their lap for a cuddle:D

Now that is interesting. When I was about 10 I was in the back seat of my parents car crammed in with about 6 of my brothers and sisters (big family - I know) when Dad took a corner kind of sharp, the door swung open and I fell out on my head!!:eek: I had a sore neck for weeks and of course was taken to hospital but I think was taken out the same day, (it was a long time ago:o)

So does that mean if I can get some [strike]sucker[/strike] er member of my:o family to massage my neck every day I will lose all my excess weight? Result:D:D mmmmm(wonder how much I will have to pay them :rotfl:)

    Love
