    Yey well done you :j

My HHE Result: 30 minute dog pull, inc brief stop to scoop, according to the pedometer 3.3km - I have no idea if that is right (may check a map later).

I now have chilly cheeks, hot bod and a tired dog :j

I think the 2 of us had a resounding success :T . Thanks for keeping me company :D

Don't feel bad I started at 15st 4lbs at end of August 08 - was just 13st before Xmas, just losing 2 stone makes an enormous difference to the way you feel and look. I am now in size 16 trousers easily and only just still in size 18 tops as my bra size is now 36H and being 50 I am not over keen on very tight clothes (mutton/lamb etc etc). I can wear size 16 jumpers but prefer a lfew folds in my clothes. When I was in my twenties i weighed around 10 & 1/2 stone which looked fine, so much depends on your height and skeleton size. There is in fact a website where you can work out your frame size on measurement of wrists or elbow joint. I take size 7 shoes and believe me I will never go down to my "ideal weight" as per the BMI charts. I dieted to 9 & 1/2 stone for my wedding when I was 18 and looking back my face was quite sharp looking. Hope to be in size 14 trousers and size 16 tops before next October and then maintain, lets face it I am not Helen Mirren and I won't be wearing a red bikini!
:j Hi thanks for the comforting words London, I know you are totally right. I struggled with my weight when I was young but after my second baby I managed to keep around the 12 st mark and felt ok with that. I'm not very tall 5'3" but definately built on sturdy lines!
Things have been a bit tough the last couple of years and I just let it slide but I'm hoping that joining in with everyone here I will get it back under control.
I discovered a 3 pronged attack today!! Had to go and get some provisions (DS1 & DS2 get a bit restless if the cupboards start to look empty!) Had to park at the furthest reaches of the carpark and then could only buy stuff I really needed coz they had run out of trollies!
Sooo exercise, 'good' basic essential food and saved money too!:T :T :T

At a rough guess thats about 2 miles i think, well done to you and your dog :) I moved to the countryside thinking of long walks with the dogs, but everything is fenced off so they can only walk on the pavement and never get to run around. I'm still coughing from my exercise, oops i guess i can only get better :j

Right i'm in for the HHE @ 3.15pm, our first one how exciting :D Did your Wii arrive FFM?

Yep, my Wii Fit arrived at about 10am, was fighting the little monkeys off by 11am.

Loved the hula, got up to 243, everything else was a bit poor - definitely room to improve. My first 'age' was 60 :o But at the end of my session it was at 42, I think it was more to do with how the Wii board etc works than anything else.

I played games eg heading footballs, ball drop etc rather than jogging - maybe later.

  • Well nmm, I measured the route with a bit of string on a map and it was about 2 miles. I'm surprised at the accuracy of the pedometer.

I'm not sure how much exercise was involved with what I was doing, maybe once I start on the jogging and other aerobic exercises they might count. I did try the step aerobics and I'm as useless on the Wii as I am in real life - no coordination or rhythm. But like you say it is fun, and at least I was off my derrier (or should that be derrierre  ).

    Whats a HHE?
Glad the Wii fit came - what do you think?
I did 20 mins today - mix of Hula, step, jogging, balance, yoga and muscle. First time I've jogged in years!:rotfl:
    Actually enjoyed it!
