Thanks for the information, Marion. I've just been to their website, and it looks pretty good. I might be tempted to give it a go with regards to eating...and keep up with the training at the same time, see how it goes. Worst case scenario is that I lose a few £s joining, get the info and then do it myself. Best case scenario - weight drops off!
Cheers
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Thanks for the information, Marion. Can I just ask some questions:
1 - Can you choose to have red days every day? Or green? Or do you have to alternate?
2 - Is all fruit free?
3 - So essentially it's about not mixing carbs and proteins, except in very limited proportions?
4 - How much weight have you lost on average a week?
Thanks if you have the time to answer. I like the meal plan samples on their website - but I don't think I could eat that much food! It looks like an awful lot!
Cheers
KiKi
1. No you don't have to alternate. You can have red all the time or green all the time if you wish. Obviously vegetarians have all green days. You can also mix your day up and have a neutral breakfast (fruit and yogurt maybe toast) then have a green lunch (jacket potato with baked beans) and then a red dinner (roast chicken with veg and pasta as a heb) The options really are unlimited!
2. Yes all fresh fruit is free. Some people say if you are losing slower than you want then perhaps limit your bananas and grapes a bit, but I have never found it a problem.
3. No slimming world stresses this is not about seperating carbs and proteins. Their new plan exta easy actually encourages you to mix them. I do find this bit very hard to understand but then I just reckon they know what they are doing so eat it all up!:rotfl:
4. If I am being very very good I will lose 2 lb easily but being human it is more like 1.5 SW does say you should not lose more than 2 lb to ensure that it is fat you are losing and not muscle. Don't forget that your heart is a muscle!!
You don't have to eat everything on the sample menu. All you must eat everyday is a selection of free foods and your healthy extras and a minimum of 5 syns. Portion size is up to you!

hiya,
not sure if this is the right place to ask this but i need to loose about 2.5 stone and im looking to do via the system from weight watchers but money is very tight so i cant afford meetings or the online programme,
i was just wondering if anyone has a points list then could maybe scan in or send via email ?
and how are the amount of points you are allowed daily added up ?
thanks alot and again sorry if im in the wrong place!
x
Hi i am doing the points diet from WW. The points made up are as follows or are in my journal:
Female 3
Male 9
Breastfeeding?
No 0
Yes exclusivley 10
Yes supplementing 5
Age
16-20 5
21-35 4
36-50 3
51-65 2
over 65 1
How many stone you are eg 12st 4 lbs = 12 points
Tall
Under 5ft 4 1
above 5ft 4 2
Life style
sit down most the day 0
mainly standing 2
Walking most time 4
physical hard work most time 6
Add the 6 numbers you have (1 from each above questions) and that is your daily points allowance.
If you go down a stone eg from 12 to 11 then you minus a point when you start your new week.
As for a list of foods i use the ww calculator i brought from Ebay for about £8. Its easy and very quick to use. I havent got a list from anywhere of points for foods but it takes seconds to use the calculator.
They also sell the journals on Ebay too which has some info and a daily diary to keep track of what you are eating, points and exercise etc..

Ok, first time doing this so someone let me know if I'm doing it wrong. Just weighed myself so starting weight is 12st 1lb. Need to lose 25lb to get me well within my healthy range. Am counting in lbs rather than stones so I can take it in small steps. If I weigh in next Saturday morning and post here in bright bold colours the weight I've lost then i will go on the chart on Wednesday. Is that right? Sorry to be slow on the uptake here, it takes me a while to get my head round anything new! Ok, off to drag my kids for a couple of mile walk now, good luck allDMP mutual support number 199Debt free in [strike]2025[/strike] 2018 (hopefully a lot sooner!):j Smokefree since 10pm 2/7/08 :jBaby no.3 due 29/04/20110

I wnet back to work on Monday and all the Christmas cr*p is still lying around but I did cold turkey for chocolates but then failed miserable on Tuesday and Wed. Monday is weigh in day, so I have two days to do a bit more exercise!

I think the HHE sounds great. Not sure I can join in becasue of long term health probs, but definitely go for it guys, even if I do what marion is going to, and get and move around a bit. Just going down with lurgy at the mo so won't be doing nothin very much for a while.
kpc - have restarted you. As an sw affishinado(sp:o ) I think you might like the 'extra easy' - I'm giving it ago and it does mean that I can now cheapify mince dishes by adding lentils, where as i couldn't before:T .
Catsman - my initial reaction to your days meals is that you might not be eating enough, which will mean your body going into slow mode and hanging on to those extra lbs. You might also feel deprived after a few day and stuff your face on day 4. Just soup for an evening meal just doesn't seem enough to me but only my thoughts. I certainly couldn't survive on just that and I have a fairly sedantry life. If you have over 5st to lose, I think you can definitely eat much more than this and comfortably lose.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I think so FFM, like you say we all have different equipment just as long as you do something to get the blood flowing, i guess.
I'm getting excited too, which is strange as i normally dread doing exercise.
I know I said I can't do during the week, but I am off today - so, I'm going to see if anyone is up for HHE 15.15 - 15.45 ish???
Right, well I'm off to walk the dog - I only do manic walking (so will get the blood flowing), will take the pedometer to give me an idea of distance steps etc.
Back in 30 puffs.

Could have been worse, at least I don't have to do it again till next wed morning.
Now where's the dog? I'm sure he would like another walk!
 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Don't feel bad I started at 15st 4lbs at end of August 08 - was just over 13st before Xmas, just losing 2 stone makes an enormous difference to the way you feel and look. I am now in size 16 trousers easily and only just still in size 18 tops as my bra size is now 36H and being 50 I am not over keen on very tight clothes (mutton/lamb etc etc). I can wear size 16 jumpers but prefer a lfew folds in my clothes. When I was in my twenties i weighed around 10 & 1/2 stone which looked fine, so much depends on your height and skeleton size. There is in fact a website where you can work out your frame size on measurement of wrists or elbow joint. I take size 7 shoes and believe me I will never go down to my "ideal weight" as per the BMI charts. I dieted to 9 & 1/2 stone for my wedding when I was 18 and looking back my face was quite sharp looking. Hope to be in size 14 trousers and size 16 tops before next October and then maintain, lets face it I am not Helen Mirren and I won't be wearing a red bikini!0 -
Right i'm in for the HHE @ 3.15pm, our first one how exciting
Did your Wii arrive FFM?
