sary I had alread ydone the wii fit 30 mins steps at 3574 and then came on to see your score and so did it again:D I got 3154:rolleyes: I started going forwards, step on the wii and then back and it missed loads of steps so I won't be doing that again:rolleyes: I tried to beat you, my eldest son kept saying 'mum what are you doing? You have already done this and I told him about you and he was then in the end shouting 'come on mum, you can do it, come on:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have done 3 hours on the wii fit today staggered over the day, aren't kids demanding?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

sary ,kpc since I have no job OH seems to think that it is God given right to go to work, come home, dinner ready for him, coffee ready, the kids dealt with, the house spotless and has taken such a back seat there is no way he even considers to take his coffee cup in the kitchen when he has finished with it, let alone take his clothes to the washing machine, pick the kids toys up, nothing it is back from work, in, dinner, sleep for a bit, up, tele, read the youngest a story, back downstairs and more ebay etc he really does not help at all, if you ask him he does but then why ask? I just do now, easiest way:D we do the diy together when we moved in, he did masses of it but the day to day he leaves to me and would not know whether it is done or not because he does not even notice:D

sary I was very interested reading your story of the counsellor only to be alittle disappointed at the end where there was no magical happy ending:rolleyes: I agree you have to find the trigger simbalou mine was boredom, habit, comfort, bingeing a whole list but I now have discipline, a goal, hope, in control until I just loose it, even over 2 years later there are some days I totally loose the plot and just eat, if I did not have to chew I would get more in and eat more:rotfl: :rotfl: 95% of the time I am perfect but the 5% of the time I am rubbish at saying no to just one and enjoying it, oh no, not one for me, the whole shop thank you:rotfl: :rotfl:

I have to take the pleasure now from the knowledge that I am in control and it is not in control of me, one upmanship works a treat, makes you feel superior :D

  • hmmm, it seems that every woman i know says that their oh takes them for granted and the girls do all the housework. myself, i've given up fighting - it's easier in the long run to just do the chores than fight, cry, and then do them anyway. I do think it's a myth that you can have it all. I've had to learn to accept that my house doens't always look the way i want it; but there's no way oh will ever see that it needs doing. it's not like he even does the diy either, i do that too! and wash the car( but it is my car. and my house. i'm not good at sharing)

Same here kpc...I accept that to get it done with out nagging I have to do it myself...its not that my OH won't do it...it's just that by the time he has I could have done that and several other things :p

He also has an annoying habit when he does stuff of involving me...so when he is hoovering etc..he's like...can you just move that?...so before you know it you're helping :D

Its not his fault he's not as perfect as me :D I love him anyway ;)

Our house always looks a mess though as I'm nto exactly a housework angel.

Thanks for the good wishes on Saturday - I'm just back from the spa break (I know, sheer misery, but somebody has to do it;) ;) ) and I'm guessing at 7lb on for tomorrow despite having done 2 or 3 classes every day and swimming a kilometre every day too. The food there is just SO lovely. Obviously it's all healthy but I just ate too much. Oh well - it was worth it, although it won't seem like it when I step on the scales tomorrow it'll just be

:T :T :T Marian for your loss ... and anyone esle who has lost or STS.

From next week I'm officially only working 4 days a week instead of 5 and have decided that there can now be no excuse for not going to the gym. Fitting in the day off is proving a bit of a problem, so next week it will just be Monday afternoon. So on Monday p.m. it's a trip to the gym, 40 minutes on the machines and a swim AND a class if there are any avaialble at the time I'm there. I haven't told anyone else that I'm doing this, only you, as the OH and the DD would laugh. Making it public here should help me to stick to the resolution.

Sorry KPC and others, my OH doesn't fit into that bracket :o
Simbalou, I'm happy to chat with you about the counselling I've had, it's been really successful. PM me is probably best as I struggle to keep up with the thread.
