Beanie - total sympathy. I am facing something similar. I just seem to need to eat and eat at the moment - and it is hunger and weakness, not boredom. I'm trying to hang on and do 'damage limitation' to 'the better weather' in the hope this somehow transforms the situation. I know in my case my drugs are playing a part but it is carbs I am craving. I'm sure our bodies sometimes must crave food to have the energy to cope with fatigue and pain etc.
dmv - so you think lettuce flavoured crisps wouldn't be a hot seller? Damn! Another moneymaking idea bites the dust. BB goes back to drawing board...I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
BB - how about crisp flavoured lettuce? I would gladly eat a whole bowl full of "salad" then!0

i like lettuce . . . if you drown it in caesar dressing.
i'm scoffing at the mo too - time of year and real stress monkey at work. got to make myself a new medieval dress soon, that ought to shock me into slightly better behaviour.0 -
Good morning everyone! I woke up with the munchies this morning so I made a double portion of breakfast rice with blueberries and topped it with 0% Total sweetened with splenda, served the whole thing up in a pasta bowl and now feel totally stuffed:o:o - but at least it was free food and I didn't have the toasted bagel that I fancied (one wouldn't have been enough!):rotfl:
I am pleased to report another 100% day yesterday, this could get habit forming as I really enjoy the challenge - who'd have thunk it!!:rotfl::p
Yesterday I had:
Breakfast - just fruit and a muller since it was weigh in day.
Lunch - Toasted bacon and tomato sandwich with a side salad and pickled beetroot (heb, free)
Dinner - Fish (cod and salmon), rice, peas, sweetcorn, soya beans, onions and peppers (all free) all baked together in the Remoska. (free)
milk in coffees through the day was my HEA plus in the afternoon I had a cookie that was 4 syns
late night snack was a meringue with frozen raspberries, 0% total and a raspberry muller (2.5 syns)
Have a good one everybody, I am taking Charlie to the groomers today for a cut and blowdry and have just realised that he has his hair done way more than I do!

The kids bought the new flavoured crisps, chocolate and chilli, cajun squirrel, onion bhaji and fish and chips, none of them were nice at all:rolleyes: I prefer snack a jacks:D but then again if someone was to invent a crisp flavoured lettuce:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Morning!
Hope we're all doing well today. The weather is certainly milder here now - the last of the snow finally melted yesterday. I even got washing out on the line and it dried!! A first this year I think.
Welcome to our newbies littlegirl lost & purplevamp. Keep posting here to let us know your progress, share your tips, or just have a bit of a rant when you're feeling a bit fed up. Weightloss can be a difficult journey sometimes, or is that the journey, while trying to lose weight seems difficult? Anyhoo, hello! :waves
Marion - brilliant result losing 1.5lb. Just goes to show that you following 100%, but still not feeling hungry DOES work. Good for you, you really deserve that loss.
Victory - I've not had that happen with the Wii's scales yet, but I'd be mortified if it did! Have you changed the time of day you weighed? Have you been and double checked with the normal scales? I'd be double checking by re-weighing on the Wii too. Have you moved the place the board usually sits when you weigh? I have no other ideas for you. Don't let it get you down, but seeing that line shoot up is horrible! I have another graph on the Foodfocus website, and my own one on a Word document that my friend sent me. I need visuals to keep me going!! he he
ffm - it sounds like you feel your eating is beginning to get out of control. Is there anything we can do to help? How about doing a food diary? I found doing that shocked me into not eating so much - I couldn't bear putting another thing down on the page, so went to bed early! I have a strict rule now with myself, in order to break bad habits, that I don't allow a mid-morning snack, or anything else to eat after my evening meal. I know that I have enough calories in both meals to keep me going, and to eat anything extra is just me being greedy. Is there a rule you could impose on yourself similarly? Just an idea.
Beanielou - you know what you need to do? get on the scales! Get it over with. I was just like you before I finally weighed myself on New Years Eve. My friend made me do it. While I didn't know the damage I'd been doing, I felt able to carry on eating without too much of a conscience. As soon as I'd got on those scales, and realised I'd eaten (gorged?) my way back to my original pre-weightloss weight, that was it, I stopped. I had to make myself accountable for what I'd been doing.
As for Valentines, my OH doesn't think he's done anything wrong, so says he has nothing to make up for. I'm in a quandary as to what to do now, and am unsure whether to go ahead with fully moving in this spring. I don't want to make a big mistake, especially as I have the children to consider in it all. I've tried to explain to him, but it is like talking to a brick wall. I'm still resisting the chocolates though. It's like a personal achievement, and challenge all in one. I won't let my emotions drive my eating. In some ways maybe a part-time man is easier? You don't have the same expectations on them that you do with a f/time one. My OH certainly made more effort when we lived apart more. I never used to stay at his, whereas now I am there everyday, 3 nights a week.
Buttons - good result on a STS. It's not a gain, so there's something to celebrate!
Victory - My youngest is 8, but he's not doing Egypt, like his brothers did, but is doing about Kenya. He's not very inspired by it, whereas I think kids like learning about Egypt, and the pyramids, etc. I do think giving them these projects at such a young age is unnecessary mind you. It just puts more pressure on them, and us. My lad is the youngest in his year, with an August birthday, and really struggles to think as maturely as his classmates about these things, which means I have to support him much more.
Yesterday I did an hour on the Wii Fit. 3799 (argh, just 1 more an I'd have hit 3800!!) steps in 30 mins, then 25 mins doing the muscle exercises, finishing with 5 mins of step plus. I was rather sweaty, had the windows open, so feel I'd done some good. I find doing it with the children chatting to me constantly rather difficult I must say.
yesterday's food: B - 1 h/m roll. L - soup snack - Ritz crackers. D - quorn & veg.
Right, I have a stack of ironing to go get done now. Will report back later. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
I weighed myself last night.
As predicted 1 stone on.
Have to try to get back on an even keel.
sarymclary~My DS always says to me to be nice to him as he will choose my care home~my mum was horrified!
I have said for a long time that a part time man would be great.
I think I have now been on my own too long to have a full time one & couldent cope with hassle!

sary, some guys just don't get valentines or have had bad experiences. My oh's ex wife used to really pile on the pressure - he could have taken her away the weekend before, but fail to produce a card on the day and there'd be hell to pay. He does it grudgingly, and last year we agreed that we would have a special meal but not do anything else. My bad, I totally forgot and he reminded me the day before when i'd already bought him a gift. To give him credit, hebought me a nice bunch of flowers but he really didn't want to. Have you tried suggesting to your oh that you have a romance day at some other stage in the year? take the pressure off?
hope things are looking up beanie and you're out and about on the trike soon.
marion, post a pic of charlie's new haircut, i need to knows whats in this season.0 -
Afternoon folks! My house is a mess (which is what happens when I go away for a weekend) OH is such a pig! Really gets me down, after living together for 3years he STILL will not scrape his food plates in the bin, leaves food to go mouldy in a pot, dirty clothes all over, dosen't hoover up the crumbs. ARGGGGHHH. He has also broke our chest of drawers in the bedroom, a knife, and what the hell is with putting empty cartons/packets back in the cupboards/fridge? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I could rant all day about this, to him, and all I get is the usual Sorry, I won't do it again but he never does it.
I feel like crying at the mess, it's going to take me forever to clean.......
