button moons..............have you tried just dishing up the same as everyone else (maybe with a little bit of her dinner on the side, not enough to fill her up but a token gesture) and just letting her getonwith it.

I am very lucky in that my kids eat everything (well almost, DS doesn;t really like beef!) . If there are any issues then they go hungry! I know that sounds nasty but a child will NOTwillingly starve itself.

Kids, not only do they wreck your body whilst growing them, they wreck your mind after!!

Lucky MIL live 250 miles away so kids only get to see her every 6/8 weeks or so.

I have tried that, she just leaves it, though if you put peas on her plate she enjoys squeezing them and wiping the remains on anything but her!

I've tried the battle of the wills thing before, she lasted 4days before I caved in, she is very stubborn. I'm sure it's just a faddy phase, I remember my sister who is now 5, only used to eat chicken soup and mashed potato with gravy and she eats a wide range now. She'll be at nursery soon so hopefully seeing all the other children eating different things at snack time will encourage her to try it.

Your right, my stomach looks like a comprehensive road atlas because of her, bless her socks.

I will keep trying though! I won't let her be a food freak :)

Still snowing in Aberdeen, boo hiss.

buttons I do what Jamie Oliver recommended once, put veg i nthe spag bog (carrots, butternut squash etc) disguise them in sauces, puree them in soups, my little one loves his 'mums home made soup' but if he knew what was in them he would never touch them:rotfl: eldest is tremendously fussy veg wise but if you give him a little he tries it and then either likes it or loathes it:rolleyes:

We went through a stage with the youngest where he would not eat anything if you had spag bog, he wanted mash, if you gave him noodles he wanted chicken, just being difficult for the sake of it so what we did was give it to him and if he did not eat it fair enough he got nothing else and we did not make it into an issue, dinner was that and if he did not want it he was the looser as he went without, did not take long before he realised he was on to a looser, was hungry and ate what was given:rotfl: :D

Marion, re your guest i would say only tell her on her last day so she can see that SW meals are great, then maybe you'll have a new recruit and help her to lose the weight she gained :)

Well done on the loss bindi, please be careful though losing weight too fast is not good for you.

Raph, no worries about the chart, thanks for posting it :)

    bindiboo well done.

    Raph thanks for the chart.

Started afresh today. Had very stressful week. We comleting on a purchase of a bungalow next week. It needs complete renovation as not been touched since 1960s. Im project manager so will be very busy and hopefully have no time to eat!
  • Lot better thanks mambury.

Victory - I totally get were you are coming from. And where you can influance other people eating habits it's great and of course, for you very very important and I've been shocked before at the lack of respect you get with in your family for your condition.
With my situation, it's once every 3 months and I'm talking about having one helping of pudding which for me is accetable as I rarely have them at home, but only have it if it is something I fancy. Never eat something I don't want. It's the 2nd & 3rd helpings that get constantly forced/refused. She never learns and always gets miffed. Oh and she always insists on tiny portions for herself and no pudding:confused: .She also likes to point out that I could do with losing weight (she is 3-4 sizes bigger than me) and how waif like her other son's girlfriend is :D . Rather a difficult person . I refuse to play her games as much as poss and just try and be nice, if rather bland.
Well done marion on your 3 days.:T

Great chart Raph - been there done that with the errors:D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
