Well tonight I returned to sw classes . It was really nice to be warmly welcomed back by some familiar faces. Marion - the consultant explaned the new 'made easy' system and it look brilliant to me. Think I will give this a try as from tomorrow. I'd rather not have to bother with a class but I felt I had made he right decison for me. Target is to lose 10lbs, this will bring my bmi under 25 again.
Yes it is brilliant isn't it?:j I am going to do it all this week and if I am not too naughty tomorrow night I should have a fair loss. The only thing I have noticed with it is that I honestly have to look around for something to use my syns on! Who would have thought it!:rotfl:I don't even feel as if I am on a diet - I love it!:T:T

Please include me in the 5lb a month Challenge. I hit rock bottom (my bottom probably weighed the same as a large rock) and i lost 11lbs in past two weeks by walking dogs more, playing Badminton and the wife's Wii Fit.
Also cut out sweets, crisps and chocolate (addictive personality- so cold turkey, christmas pun not intended, is the only way)
My Ultimate Goal is to lose 100lbs by next Christmas but if i can even maintain 5lbs each month i will be delighted, Good luck to everyone, for all your goals(also going to start comping again, despite a pitiful last year) and all the best for the New YearWins so far in 2009: £0.00
Dec07: Box of Trident Gum, £500 from HASSRA :j
Jan08: Erm...still waiting . Gave up in March with No wins0 -

Hello everyone
Had bread with my chicken soup  Figure Im not feeling happy so had one slice only.
But a little giggle for you all. Preceded by a bit of a waffle to explain background:)
Last year November, I won a Dell laptop, today the left button stopped working-so DF who is an engineer tests what can be tested and says "broken, send it back. So I just got onto a live chat with Dell's technical support and they ask if they can log onto my pc. I say sure ( I love ghosts in my machine) and she logs in. Then I look at the middle of my desktop and see my sticky notes and have to blush...written below my calorie notes from the other day on the same sticky, I have made a note to remind myself of the size cake Im doing for a Christening next month...So my sticky looks like this:

I can see how that would have been a tad embarassing - did the technician sound slightly put off? lol!!Outstanding Debts: DLC - £4,724.54 Blair, Oliver and Scott - £3682.00 Barclaycard - £1606.13

Well, it's only four hours until New Year for me, so Happy New Year to everyone too, and I will see you in 2009.
I will post my starting weight tomorrow!
Missy - would it be very rude of me to ask you to share (briefly if need be!) your experiences of not having enough calories and yet still exercising lots? Apparently you wrote the book on "no calories, lots of exercise and losing no weight". I'd love to hear it!
Even though I'm a newbie here myself, hello and welcome to everyone else who's new here who has joined in!!
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Hi all, just wanted to come on and post to tell everyone to have a great night tonight and hope all New Year celebrations go well. I personally am having a quiet one in (not feeling large crowds today!) so that will inevitably cut down on my alcohol intake.
First weigh-in tomorrow, I've been quite good last couple of days so I'm hoping my start weight might be better than expected. Happy New Year!! :beer:Outstanding Debts: DLC - £4,724.54 Blair, Oliver and Scott - £3682.00 Barclaycard - £1606.13

Morning everyone.Big welcome to stevie - sometimes we need to reach rockbottom, be it about weight, or where our life is going, before we can truely dig deep and find the strength and determination to change our situation. You've had that moment:T . My best advice is to stick with us as much as possible to keep focussed. You WILL slip up at some point. This will NOT ruin everything, it will just be one day in the rest of the life, and the next day counts as day1. We've all had plenty of day 1's here: the secret of real sucess is to get back on the wagon and that's one of the things we are here for.
I understand what you mean about cold turkey - I need to do that with biscuits at the moment. OH is stashing secret supplies somewhere and has to eat them out of sight:rotfl: . Trouble is, he finds it very difficult to resist me pleading with him for a few. He lasts about 30 seconds:rotfl:
Marion - I know - I can't really believe it! But my experience of sw allows me to trust them. So I'll do it properly this week and see what happens. I was doing a little planning last night and I thought my syn count could be very low on it too.
My most difficult point at the moment is last thing at night and through the night. I get so very hungry (proscription drugs) and am a very light sleeper. So I need to plan for food to be availabe then. I'm going to try and save my HEb of 2 wheetabix til I go to bed I think. I just love the fact I can have my HM sweet pot soup on the same day I have meat for dinner:j .
Happy New Year Kiki!:D
We're not going out tonight but very happy to stay in. I don't drink so NY isn't a weight issue time for me:j .
Newbies - although this forum has been active all year, we got very quiet and down to a core...10 ish of us these last months, so we need all of you to help us support all the further newbies we will be getting from tomorrow! Together we can do so much - this has always been a caring and supportive forum and those us here and a few temporary absentees can testify to the help this gang can give and makes all the difference in maintaining losses achieved and going further.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, and to the oldies, thanks for being such a fab bunch that I truely consider my friends xxI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Morning and a very happy new year, it is going to be our year peeps:D I don't drink either so NYE is no weight issue for me, we are having turkey roast tomorrow but that is about it, can't see a massive need to eat or anything the xmas festivities are gone as far as I am concerned, we are really down to our last carrot and got paid today so off to Asda to stock up on the good stuff:D so came out of it very manegable 3lb heavier, happy with that.
Newbies stick with us, the road ahead may seem long but it is worth it, break it down to wanting to loose 2lb or 1lb a week rather than 'oh god I need to loose 2 stone' it is mind games with yourself you need to play, play them and you win:D0
