1 lb loss this week, slow and steady.
Has anyone noticed how many programmes are on Tv re obesity, losing weight etc - and conversley there are loads of cookery shows few of which are healthy eating receipes - bizzarre!
Thought the Gok Wan one was quite thought provoking, as someone who started school in 1963 there weren't many overweight kids, a few chubby ones like myself, but looking back I really wasn't that big and lost the stone I needed to when I went to work. Also the only fast food shops were Fish & Chips and Wimpy bars, we didn't go in them because we did not have any money to spend. Just a couple of old pence for penny chews. We walked everywhere very few folk had cars and I actually don't remember anyone getting lifts to school. My school was over a mile away so that was a 2 mile walk everyday.0 -

Ooooooh...BB........I don't have to DIE!! I lost 1.5lbs
(You're not allowed to die either regardless of your weigh in...wouldn't know what to do without you)
Serena loss 3 weeks in a row: being 'lilacked' strikes again:D . This time you are going to do it. Ok I sts, but I agree it would be a shame to die now as builders are downstairs as I write doing unspeakably nice things to my Kitchen:D
(apols for talk of death peeps, I told seren last week we both had to lose a lb this week or die in the attempt:rotfl: ).
Anyone else want me to threaten them, as it seems to work:D
Annie - 5lbs!!! This has to be the new HHA approach? Tagz - good stuff dispite the extra stress you are going through.
A reminder that I need to do the chart about 6ish this evening, earlier than usal as BB is g.o.i.n.g. o.u.t.
Granny - thank you for your kind words:o . I do have a good memory for certain things, (especially when I am doing the chart - makes me much more concious of what is going on for peeps weigh wise over a longer period), sometimes I'll jot down quick 2 word notes when I read through. And also I have got a lot out of the MSE community (still staggers me how wonderful virtual relationships can be), especially as I miss out of some of 'real life' because of my health so I do like to contribute to community as and when I can. But everyone contributes so much and there is nearly always someone on tap to answer questions, give support.:T
However,i am sure you are no different - bet you can name every child in your school and know what is going on for them at home etc.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Morning all. Im happy to report a 2.5 lb loss which, considering I'm aiming for a 1lb a week, has made me feel very positive! Well done to all who have tried to eat well, regardless of weigh in results!0

Changing my weigh-in day to a Wednesday so I don't have to wait a week to be on the chart if that's ok BB? 1lb loss this week, 3lbs lost last week so if I am getting this right I should go down for 4lb this week? does that make sense? Or am I losing the plot. Good to see so many losses on here, well done to everyone. Hope everyone who is feeling unwell starts feeling better soon!:o

Morning everyone!
Got my appointment through the post today for my operation at the hospital, it's on Tuesday. I am BRICKING IT, really wanted to dive into the biccie tin, I resisted the urge. yey.
I have a benign tumour in my back, which gives me bad back pain, though it's not as bad as it was when I was 4stone heavier! It does need to come out so I just gotta suck it up!
Who knows, maybe it will weigh an lb? Hehehe.
My next goal is 12st 8lbs, that will take me into the "overweight" range on the BMI thing, sick of seeing obese! 5lbs to go......0 -
Good afternoon all.
Well done some good weight losses. Hugs to all those that need them.
Did great yesterday, saved calories through the day for DD3 birthday dinner, that went great. Until last night DD2 hands out cream eggs to all and I succumbed! I have requested DD2 not bring me chocolate as I have now proved I have no resistance. Today is a new day.0 -

Hi Buttonmoons. I'm sure you'll be fine so try not to [STRIKE]brick it [/STRIKE] fret. Don't let the biccie tin talk to you, mine was trying to catch my attention yesterday and I sent it to Coventry (ok the back of the cupboard but you know what I mean!).
I'm so sad I even weigh myself before and after a haircut to see if I've lost anything so who knows maybe it will take a pound off! He he.
Thinking of you.:grouphug:I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0
