There are so many great volunteering opportunities out there and it really helps psychologically if you feel you have a purpose each day. Volunteering won't stop you from still looking for paid work and will look great on your CV (shows strong work ethic for a start). Here we have a volunteering agency which has literally hundreds of posts to apply for, a huge variety. Maybe there's one where you live? If you just google volunteering uk, you'll get loads of websites too. Good luck! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I volunteered for nearly 2 years for Barnados, now we have a mortgage OH is not so keen, googled, have them close, could easily have started today but have to resist in a way because Oh would not be that happy and rightly so because of the finances....
sary no, they were on this thread not MTC:D not near a hospital but plenty of charity shops etc that would take me on in a flash especially seen as I know what I am doing having done it previously:D
TAGZ no worries;)
iloveme welcome:D
I bought a talking pedometre, calorie counter today every 1000 steps it tells you, every 50 cals it tells you, every 0.5 mile it tells you, that and a skipping rope because someone on here said it was great, also a yoga book and WW beat the ten diet myths all charity shop, the only dvd's they had were for yoga for pregnancy, obviously not used because still in cellophane, looked at my fitness coach but will do the wii fit until I have mastered all the highest scores etc and then maybe buy it:D0 -

Have demolished lots of comfort food and sweets, so WI will be scarey, but I am beginning to feel better - back on track next week.

Hi all!
I really need to lose 2 stone, fed up being overweight and unfit!! However as I'm trying to cut costs, I can't justify spending £20 a month on slimming world/weight watchers especially as my gym membership doesn't even cost that! I'm hoping that with the support of being on this thread, and my hubby who is also slimming 2009 will be my year!
I'm will post my weight changes (losses hopefully), with my starting weight coming on on Monday - eek! get on those dreaded scales lol
Hopefully I can be on track to lose the first stone by easter - can treat myself with an chocy then :EasterBunJan 09 [strike]£17965.79 [/strike] Mar 09 £17765.20Lose Weight 24 - 0 / 25 lbsProud to be dealing with my debts :money:0 -
Well just finished dinner, decided as am heading off to swimming soon I'd treat my self to a small slice of wholemeal carrot cake. Am pleased to say I have a 3lb loss this week
Although looking back at BBs little chart, last weeks 2lb loss wasn't on there
Am I missing something?
Bought 'My Fitness Coach' for the Wii today, well the OH picked it up for me. Decided to treat my self with some left over Xmas money, will report back when I find time to give it a go. Off to get ready for another 50 lengths of the pool now.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2
