Morning:D beginning to feel neglected ,twice I have asked various questions and not a single answer to any of them:rolleyes:
Off into town in a mo, need to get out before I end up in a routine, school, house, wii fit, cooking, washing etc, will have a look for a voluntary idea today as I need a focus:rolleyes: OH really wants me to earn but we shall see:D

Sorry you are feeling a little neglegted sweetie pie;) I felt like that last week too but I got over it in the end. If your questions where about the wii I wouldn't be able to help on that one - but I could if they were about wee!:rotfl::rotfl: - sorry, couldn't help myself:o:rotfl:

If you are looking for volunteer work a lot of charity shops are always looking for staff to help out. Or if you are needing to earn - I have a good idea for you - I know you like walking and keeping fit. Have you thought about starting a dog walking business. You will probably need some type of insurance and get some cards printed up, put them in local newsagents, hand them out to people you see walking their dogs (especially if they don't look like they enjoy it:rotfl:)

You could start your own little dog walking empire!

    Love
Marion (good on ideas, not so good on actually doing stuff:p)

Cheapest and healthiest - use your stairs to walk up and down and get exercise. I remember when I first joined WW, they suggested that everytime something needed to be put upstairs - take it straightaway - don't collect items at the bottom to take up in one go!

(Although I don't always do that myself :rotfl: )

  • How accurate are the wii fit scales?

Wii fit makes me 11st 9lb (last fri evening) and my all singing all dancing digital scales weighed me at 12st 12lb this morning!!!! That is 1st 3lb different! If anything I think I've lost this week.

So obviously one of them is wrong.

I haven't used the scales in a while as they were in the back of a cupboard.

Weigh something of a known quantity on each...e.g couple of bags of sugar/tins (not sure how heavy something would ahve to be to register). but then you can see how they correlate to each other. the surface they are on will also affect them in some way. your normal scales may just need a new battery if they are digital

Victory - are you sure they weren't posted on the Murphy's thread? If they're about the Wii/My Coach then they've been responded to over there. I can't find any other questions on here though!

I know exactly what you mean about needing a focus. I'm also looking for a job, and it feels very demoralising, especially if you apply for a job, and then hear nothing back from them - even after an interview!! I used to work in HR, so I find it appalling that nowadays it's seen a perfectly fine to ignore applicants, not give a courteous reply, even if it's a 'Dear John'.

Do you live near a hospital? They often require volunteer visitors for long stay patients, who don't have relatives able to visit. Unfortunately, because of the need for CRB checks, it's harder to get to volunteer in schools or places where there's a need for help. It's always worthwhile popping into local charity shops to see if they need any help, even if it's just on an ad hoc basis.
