gemily, you will find that beanie and I excel at HHSS - if something's worth doing, it's worth doing well:D .
Yup, excitement reigns beanie over the kitchen. So far, every thing has been done for virtually nothing thanks to a wonderful lodger and freecycle. I'm getting a builer to put in a 3000mm worktop that runs down one side of the galley style kitchen: it's got the gas hob in it so too technical for us to do. I've also taken a few cabinets off the wall and the wall needs plastering and an electic socket put in. All this is highly relevant to WL of course as it's 'the kitchen' - central to any eating regime:D . I'm trying to make it more user friendly and more space efficient.

It is exciting getting a new kitchen fitted isn't it? I would put it as one of my top ten favorite fantasies - non naughty ones of course!:D

Hi to all the newbies and well done to all the losers and sts.
Things are still very stressed at work and although I havent been posting its been very comforting to check in and read what everyone else has been doing.
    Thanks for that peeps:beer:

Will weigh in and post tmw. Ate too much junk on Sunday but have resisted the urge to binge. Really hope I have lost, even 1lb would help me to keep the chocolate cravings under control.

Fingers crossed and hugs to all

  • *has lustful thoughts about new kitchens*

better than thinking about naughty foods right?

i looooooove steps songs so i might like the claire dvd. it's got some very scathing comments on amazon though plus i only get 40 minutes max to work out so if it's a 20 minute warm up it's probably not worth it.

off for some more jack bauer action now. mmmmmmmmm

With all these dvd's you don't have to do all the workout, just do the warm up, part of the workout and cool down, i'm sure you can make it fit into 40 mins most are about that long anyway. Another 24 fan huh, i love watching it but my fave is prison break micheal mmmmmmmmmmmm :rotfl:

EDIT: just checked the dvd on amazon and obvious really from its name it has 5 steps which is really 5 parts, so you can do say 3 parts warm up, fat assault aerobics, cool down, then next time warm-up, target and tone, cool down, etc. As you like steps i'd say give it a go :)

Just popping in to report -1lb tonight. Am a bit gutted as it's the first week on the diet and thought I'd lost more :-( But a loss is a loss I guess!

BB - New kitchen is good! I got mine from MFI just before it went bust. Finally in and tiled - only took 3 months

    Hi,
I have some questions for those of you who use the wii fit. I have heard that you can do some step exercises while watching normal tv. How do you do it???

Hiya gememily, in order to use that function you first need to open it by completeing time on the advanced step, if you havent opened that then keep on at the basic one and you'll get there. Once open you just set it going and turn over your TV usually by pressing the AV button on your remote. From then on all your information comes from the remote via the little speaker and you just watch TV and enjoy :D Hope that helps.

Anyhoo just spent time catching up on the last few days posts, looks like everyone is well. I had a long weekend and spent lots of time excersing so now have reached my first target to get my BMI under 29 :D yeay! So set my self the target to get another stone off and will see how we go from there. It seems I'm well into the swing of things with eating healthy, but am trying to cut back on bread and associated products so anyone have any tips for healthy but easy to prepare (and not expensive) lunches to take to work? So far I'm rotating the following meals but would like more variety..

Soup (all though without bread a tad boring)
Crackerbreads with low fat cottage cheese (sometimes with ham too)
Ham omlette (sometimes with a little bit of healthy eating cheese)
    Tuna Salad

I'm okay for snacky bits as I'm quite happy with my snack a jacks, fruit and yoghurts.
