  • Lots of good losses and some positive sts's:T . Commiseration dragon:rolleyes: .

Yes, it's been good to have a chat about the pain drain. I feel for all of you, including those with ill partners, and especially those of you so young - kj74 and dmv. Though thinking about it, I was 25 when I first fell ill, which is quite a wee while ago now...and sometimes I'm sad about what I have missed out on. And that's ok. I have found that finding a positive focus, however small helps get me through it(edit: snap Victory:D), but equally, for me,it has been a learning curve to allow the anger and disappointment to be expressed too and to understand that is a healthy and 'normal' response to loss.

kj74 -I'd have a private word with your sw consultant, if you haven't already so she's in the picture about the drugs.
Vix - enjoy the diss freedom:D

With the dirty looks etc -I always try and remember that, when I see a mum with a young kid having a tantrum/ behaving really badly and mum not seeming to do anything about it - I think, the kid might be sick, or her hubby may have just left and she can't cope, whatever,a dirty look is the last thing she needs and would lesson me for giving it.

    Todays menu:
bkfast: quorn burger and poached egg
lunch sweet potato soup & huge banana & russet apple.
dinner sw chips, baked beans & quorn sausages
HEB: weetabix. Not sure what else yet but won't have any trouble finding one:o . Maybe HEa cheese on toast for supper...
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Victory - No those deep heat do diddly squat for me. These are called BuTrans patches and were recommended by a consultant as I was complaining about side effects of Tramamdol. They are similar to morphine and work well. Having the extra complication of diabetes must be even harder for you.

BB - that's a good idea. Why didn't I think of that?! :D Will do that tomorrow night at dreaded 2nd weigh in!

Right off to do a little bit of Wii Fit before h2b gets home ;)

For all the people with a WII fit. I'm considering getting one, as it seems a fun way to exercise (despite the cost!!) my main Q is - Is it noisy? As I've posted before I have the neighbour from hell below me, who will report me to the council if my DD so much as falls. I feel like she is constricting my life!
Anyways, the neighbours ABOVE me have been making some noisy lately (not that it bothers me!) but I'm thinking it COULD be a wii fit they have, because footsteps in the same place (unless they have a dance mat)

Just wanting to see how noisy it would be, because I'd end up whacking the WII remote of the moo's face if she came to my door to complain about it

Hi I asked to join in on page 29. Hope it ok that I do.
Anyway started healthy lifestyle change, today and all going well so far. Well done to everyone with the weight loss and exercise. So glad there are other people with health issues that hinder exercise. Met with the builders today about a bungalow I am doing up, hopfully it will divert my attention from food!

Victory and BB - I have my positives! The main one being that we will have a child sooner rather than later! Doctors say 5 years time would be the ideal stage so that is what we will aim for. To be fair, unless Im feeling really low, I dont often feel like Im missing out on anything.I feel older but that has as much to do with my lifestyle choices as my health and generally I really like my life.

kj74 - Im currently taking tramadol (or however its spelt) along with valium (in small amounts it stops muscles seizing up and has no anti depressent effects!) and I too have trouble with the side effects so thank you for the name of the patches, I will definitely ask my doctor about them.

Well food wise I think tonights kebab will mean a bad weigh in! Our dog has been spayed today and is feeling very poorly and sleepy, and on the way back from the vets (both a little upset!) OH saw a new kebab shop and for the first time since last week when he got ill he actually fancied food so I could hardly say no. I so hope it tastes good tho otherwise I will be very annoyed!
