All presents wrapped and had sausages, gravy, mixed veg and turnip and potato mash for tea tonight.

Had a phone call to say our uncle died yesterday in the care home and my aunt has asked not for phone calls or visits for the next few days.

DDs have their stocking on the kitchen table ready to be filled.

Dishes are done, pots are scrubbed and cooker top is all cleaned up!

Made hobnobs and they have scoffed the lot!!!!

    Happy Christmas to everybody

Interview was strange yesterday - told me all about the job but didnt ask me any questions -dont know if that was because they had already decided that I wasnt suitable, anyway will find out in the New Year, job is a lot more intensive than I thought but the money is fantastic.

Good luck Essex Girl! I wouldnt put too much in it as I have had a lot of interviews where they dont seem to ask you much or even anything at all including jobs I have been successful in. You go all prepared with answers including to any awkward questions and you don't get asked anything. I tend to blame this new chatty style that everyone tends to adopt these days. I am not a fan of it as to me if you don't question you might not get the right person for the job. Also it is impossible to gauge who you have done. You come out of them all thinbking you have got on well with them etc etc and you don't get the job. At least in the old style if you messed up in anyway you could tell.

    Hi guys,

Well all done here. One of our friends dressed up as santa and delivered their pressies to the kids this evening which they loved. They have been as high as kites all day and it has been mummy that has been taking time out at the bottom of the stairs today

In between the chaos and mayhem and referee duties all the veg is done for the next 2 days, bacon wrapped sausages and stuffing balls in the fridge, house clean and the ironing has disappeared  (well, I'm on a full stop and enjoying some much needed medicinal liquid refreshment and can not be bothered to do it.)

I hope everyone has a peaceful christmas and thank you all for being here for me.

    Smoky. xxxx
