  • I cancelled the order (no good to me after xmas) and was told that top-up cards are none refundable and would need to pay for them. What a B***** cheek!!

Am waiting (won't hold my breath) for online manager to call me.  Surely they can't charge me for something they decided to add on after the sale had gone through?

    Will keep you posted

I was charged £44.99. when the email said £29.99. I read somewhere you could take a phone you've ordered back to one of their shops, or was that The Link? can't remember. Did you activate the SIM? They should take that back as long as it is still sealed!

Had call from CPW, are collecting phones and refunding £59.98, once they receive them (I'm sure to check top-ups haven't been used - which they haven't) they will refund the extra £30.
Asked for a comfirmation email but haven't received it yet............
  • Received 2 phones today and charged £30.00 extra top -up cred. I have just spoken to a lovely lady called Karen from the CPW and after being kept on hold for infinity, she informed me that I can keep the phones and a cheque for £30.00 will be winging it's way to me. Fingers crossed, eh!
I did inform them that if they were unable to resolve this satisfactorily I would put in the hands of Barclaycard as it was an unauthorised withdrawal of my hard-earned bucks. ::)
  • More bad CS from the Carphone wh0rehouse, they used to be great for special offers, even matching their own website instore. Now they are getting like Phones4u full of numpties

Have you got the complaints phone number? (non 0845, 0870 etc.). I'll try to get my £15 back, or i'll return it.
    Thanks

they've got a freephone 0808 number its usually displayed on their homepage, or you can find it on http://www.saynoto0870.com

its supposedly their sales line, but if you ring and tell them youve got a problem, they will transfer you to the customer service department.

  • The problem here will be the 30 day validity period of the credit...use it or lose it after 30 days :o

Yes, that is what i heard on our local radio. You have to top up £15 every month which has a validity of 30 days, so as you say, use it or lose it. :-/
  • I spoke to the manager of the online order and he told me that i have got only two options. Firtst either cancel the order or pay £44.99 for the phone. I am really upset. Can someone advise me what can i do in these circumstances? Is it a good idea to send email to Watchdog?
  • Worth a try

Go for it...Nicholas Andrew Argyle Campbell loves these types of scams.
