merry christmas to all x0
-
Hello to all - hope christmas prep is going well? I've been a busy bee this evening - bread sauce is now made and cooling ready to stick in a box to take to Mum's. Spiced Red cabbage and apple was already done so I just have to remember to pick those us and take with me.....raisins are soaking for Dad's run & raisin fudge - which will have to be made tomorrow afternoon. I'm just waiting for my tea to cook now and then once I've had that I'll make the fairy cakes to take to work tomorrow (was going to be muffins but we have a lactose intol at the office these days and I couldn't get any Lactofree - grrrr! so choc-chip cakes it will be instead!). Hopefully once those are in the oven I can actually get some presents wrapped. We're at work tomorrow but it will be quiet as the computer system is down and we'll pack up at midday and go to the pub for a quick one.
Then it'll be home and more cooking - I do have muffins to make to take to Mum's - those will be mini raspberry ones. Then there's the fudge to make - fingers crossed it'll go OK. I'm sure there's more too....oh dear! Not organised!

Hi again,
Beetheebee, glad you followed instructions and put some goodies in your trolley today.Hope you are enjoying your non-milk chilled drink. After your busy day you've earned it.
Tru my nose sometimes twitches too when I read “check your pm’s” or similar.
Hello, Sunnygirl, a newbie poster on here, like me.
Naughty Sistercas eating all her Advent Calendar (if I am still up past midnight I open the next day’s window, bad girl!)
I was wilting reading Nelski’s list until she said most of it probably wouldn’t get done, was wondering if I had strayed into Superwoman’s lair.:D

Good evening everyone,
A HUGE THANK YOU for all your lovely birthday wishes, its been a wonderful surprise to come on line and find them all, especially as ive been quite infrequent with my posting recently - has given me happy tears!!
Ive had a lovely day with my children, they brought me breakfast in bed this morning, and a few pressies (chocolates and smellies - also a garlic press which is what i wanted!!!) and we went out for lunch at a Harvester and then to the cinema to see Four Christmases - it was very good, not one i would hurry back to see again but definatly watchable (is it Squiggly who is seeing it tomorrow? Def worth a look). When we got home my friend popped round with her family, and she had bought me an electric carving knife (again, something i wanted) and also some chocs and Mamma Mia on DVD, which is a film i really did love, so that was really kind of her.
Ive just got the children to bed, and im now wanting to catch up on my comps - had a lovely surprise on that board as well, as they noticed it was my birthday too - so many lovely people here on MSE!!!
Anyway, better get a move on - have a really busy day tomorrow and even though today hasnt been OS at all, i had to come on and thank you all for being so wonderful - you dont know how much it has meant to me!!!
Have a lovely evening everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Marie - im 37 today!!!
Nels - i dont really get much for birthdays or christmas anymore (which i am fine with) but it has happened a lot in the past, with one present for both, or birthday pressies wrapped in christmas paper etc!!!0 -
Catowen
Glad you had a nice time - you deserve it!!!!!
Happy Christmas!
I ended up making two huge pizzas and loads of HM potato cakes as thought Dds would be starving after going Christmas shopping.
Stuff is in the fridge now as two of them are not home yet and will probably already have eaten.
It won't be wasted as the potato cakes will make a nice breakfast or brunch with bacon or eggs and the pizza can just be warmed up in the microwave.
Am going to try to avoid the shops tomorrow unless something urgent happens."This site is addictive!"

Happy Birthday Catowen (what's left of it!)
Well, it is officially Christmas now - I managed to get tomorrow and Boxing Day off so broke up from work tonight!!!:j Will head up to my Mums tomorrow (have to go into Plymouth to buy her present on the way _pale_)
So, the next 5 days will be spent chilling out (yes, I will help Mum with Christmas dinner before anyone tuts!). Planning on getting finalised for the 4k challenge - just doing my January monthly meal planner now.
Have to tidy the house before I go - want to come back to a nice tidy house
Eeeee, I'm all excited!! :rudolf:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

You want to worry! At choir we get birthday cards. One year one of the girls was inadvertently given a 'sympathy' card instead of a birthday card LOL!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
