Hi All! Its my 1st time posting on this thread. I did my cleaning yesterday so have just got the ironing to do today, even though I've been putting it off for a week now, but I'm out of clothes so I'll have to!! My 3 dc are all getting more excited by the day even the eldest (dd16) we're going to make Christmas cards for the Nanna's & Grandad this morning which is always lovely to do and very well received by grandparents. After that I'll walk the dogs and tire the youngest (3yo Beagle) out so that I can go to town & know that the house will be intact when I get back in LOL!!
I have to get some last minute pressies from Poundland - stocking fillers really - then food shopping but I might go 1st thing in the morning for that. I'm going to try to get into Asda an hour before they close tomorrow having read the tips on another thread about getting rtc & whoopsied stuff at that time.

I'd like to say thanks to everyone on this board for all your brilliant tips & advice. I have scaled christmas right back this year & yet feel far more christmassy than I have in previous years. It's probably because I know that no debt has been incurred at all and that I'm making inroads into other debts. Thank you all! Have a good day everyone and hugs to all that need them.

  • Morning all,

Happy Birthday Catowen :) Have a great day!!

    MrsMix & Redruby :hello:

Bargainbird, I know it's always the way when you haven't got to be up early... Sounds like you're probably being very productive with the time though!
Halight, lol at the twins' not spelling right too!!! Sounds like January you will be in a position to start afresh, I hope you manage to get a job you'll enjoy more.
Betheebee, it's the fact we all care about each other that makes this thread what it is :) (((((hugs)))))) to you & your family.

Not much OSing here today, we're off to Bognor to see my little sis (Redruby I'll give you a wave as I pass by!) and my mum is trying to take enough food to feed an army... But smoked salmon blinis & steak/onion baguettes will be involved :)

((((((hugs)))))))) for all those needing them.

I asked on Morries board if anyone had a receipt for wk 4, HAPPYROLY sent me a xmas card with the receipt and money off newspaper vouchers which I received y/day. How extremely kind was that.
I'll be able to get £20 off my shopping today.

    HAPPYROLY you're a star. x
  • Hello All

Many Happy Returns Catowen  have a great day.

    Hello & welcome Sunnygirl :hello:

Cant beleive its the 23rd! Lots to do today. Made strange by the fact I have my job interview this morning   , am not too nervous but just want to get it over and done with. Is in our nearby town and after the interview I need to pick up some more Xmas cards. After that I then need to go to the butchers in another village and pick up the gammon. Havnt bought gammon from a butchers before.

Later we need to go to the inlaws to pick up the dogs, think we are having a takeaway over there as well.We will also exchange presents as they like the kids to have them when they wake in the morning.

Had a lovely time in London, had a really nice meal in Chinatown and a good wander round Leicester Square and Covent Garden. Yesterday morning was able to look around the market before the crowds arrived. Went into Kath Kitson Sunday & couldnt move so popped in there yesterday morning as it opened and was the only customer! I treated myself to a lovely bag, some handwash and handcreme. Also bought a nice diary from Paperchase and some goodies from Lush. Kids had been saving their pocket money and treated themselves too.

Anyway cant hang around here need to make sure that my clothes are nicely ironed and then jump in the shower, havnt been to an interview since 1998!.

    Have a good one.

    Happy Birthday Catowen.
Good Luck with the interview Essex-girl.
Red Ruby is correct Skintkat, it is a pic of some of the scarves I knit, I make loads of scarves every year & sell them to pay for Christmas. I've now changed my avatar as I'd had the same one for ages, this is a pic of the Thames, near where I live.
I dropped hubby at the station just after 6 & went straight to Mr T, it was nearly empty apart from hundreds of shelf stackers. I managed to get all my last minute bits & pieces, I need to pop up to the bank to pay in a couple more cheques & buy knitting needles, I broke a pair last night.
Plans for today include clearing the desk in the study, blitz the 'hot spot' in the kitchen where all the paperwork gets dumped & vacuum upstairs.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
