    Happy Birthday Catowen!!! :bdaycake: :bdaycake:

Just about to go shopping for milk, cream and fresh veg.

Turkey crown is defrosting in the fridge ready for Christmas dinner.

DH will pick me up from the supermarket as milk etc will be heavy and then I want to make some more potato cakes to have for snacks.

Might do sweet potato soup and crusty bread for tea or else sweet potato burgers and some HM wedges.

DDs are going out shopping so it should be peacefull for a while.

See you later and hug for all

    Afternoon :santa2:

Been really busy getting everything back to normal.
OH has a real bad cold and dont I know it  never mind I suppose it will go eventually.

SC is on with a beef stew, when thats done I will do a spag bol, both for the freezer I used up most of my stock over the last few days.

Had a phone call from some friends last night asking us to go out for a meal, we have been to at least one a week for the last month, its always the same at this time of year, its no wonder I am putting on weight, think I'd better start doing a bit of this :j :j and get rid of it.

    HELP!!!
I have a large tea stain on my lounge carpet, it happened on Sunday when DS1,DIL and DGDs were here, apparently DIL blotted it up but it has left a stain. My carpet is a Berber in a light fawny/beige colour, so it stands out, what can I use to get it out???????
I tried carpet foam but it did'nt work, any suggestions gratefully received Thanks in advance :)

  • I am a bad mother.

I am 90% sure that little bear has escaped from his playpen. I am also 90% sure that the only thing he can really cause havoc in there is a bottle of baby oil. The stair gate is on. He was desperate for a nap last seen. If I go up I may disturb him from a nap. My 'mum' senses are telling me to get up there.

I'm off. I have listened to what I think are little bear paws instead of next door's thumps for about two minutes, can't take any more...

I had NOT planned to be shopping today. So this wasn't OS/MSE etc etc. I went to the Spar at the garage for a bar of white chocolate to cover the rest of my truffles. There were only Cadbury's dream bars or Milky Bars. The person at the till looked at me as I gave her 10 to ring up! I didn't want to have to go back, did I? 20g bars. The Dream ones were much cheaper than the Milky bar ones.

  • Little bear was out of his playpen :eek::eek: completely unharmed and after two mins stomping hadn't managed to cause any harm in the room.

He is now eating a banana and completely failing to get a much needed nap. At the moment, with his desire for climbing I daren't leave him for more than five minutes and the kitchen is a disaster area and is where the gas man, when he comes, will be checking the boiler.

    Sigh.

  • Hi all
    :xmastree::xmassmile2 days to go! :snow_laug :santa2:

Have been in a lot of pain the last two eays so not able to post, I have read up to yesterdays thread but not much of today, so if my comments are a bit late, pls forgive me!

Gers - thanks for that Youtube link, I enjoyed watching that.
PurpleIvy - hope you had a great birthday hon
Beth - no one would dare complain about anyone sharing what you shared. This thread is as much about our relationships as it is OS, and how you feel and what is happening in your emotional life can affect how you feel about the practical part of your life too. Yes we all post our OS things to keep in line with the rules, but if someone is feeling down and can't cope with thinking of OS then I do not think they should stop themselves posting here if they need support. (steps off soapboxsoapbox.gif)
smokybabe - hugs to you honey
Pen-pin - my mother sent nothing, so a cheque sounds good from here *chuckles*
Essex - good luck for the interview hon
skint_catt - welcome2.gif. It's good to have you with us!

Sybil - you do make me laugh with your tales of Little Bear the escapologist!
Nelski - I agree with your comments about 'joint' pressies, I bet you used to get that the same as I did when I was younger. Friends know better now.. *chuckles*

OS wise - BM just finished and we are having bacon sandwiches shortly and eating dinner late tonight after we have found the lounge, ready to put dex up tomorrow. WM has been on twice so we are finally caught up. OH did the final christmas shop late last night so we finally have our gammon which we are cooking in Cola this year.

Hope enjoys the rest of the day - grouphug.gif to all.

Aww Diva, when we lived at home with Mum and Dad we were always desperate to get the decorations up, but they upheld the tradition of Christmas Eve every year and only after we had finished helping clean through. A wise woman my mother LOL! I still don't like to have stuff up too soon, though if we are entertaining pre-Christmas it's quite nice to have the tree up.
