Ive just had a really boring tea at my mums house - chicken and rice!! everyone else had a curry so she cooked some chicken seperatly for me and I just had it with soy sauce - that means Ive had another EE day today, not had any syns tho so I need to have something before bed to go with my Alpen Light bar..... mmmm what could I have??

Think I might try SC's recipe tomorrow with rice and salad, sounds lovely. :D

Really having to stop myself getting weighed to see if I have lost anything might have to have OH confiscate the scales

  • In the current copy of Woman magazine (dated 12 January) there is a week's EE plan listed along with a coupon (valid until 31 Jan) which means that you can join free (saving £10) and only pay weekly meeting fee of £4.50.

If you join without the voucher the cost of joining is £9.50 ie £4.50 weekly fee + half price membership (£5) so worth buying the magazine at 90p.
  • Dear all
I have now read through the "old" thread and this one and would like to join in please! I went to SW about a year ago and lost about half a stone but also lost heart partly because I didn't like the meetings so I ended up just paying and being weighed and coming home. Reading all this I realise I wasn't told about targets or anything; the leader was waiting to leave, just waiting for a replacement, and I think she had possibly lost interest.

Now I'm determined to do it on my own starting from 10 days ago so I may ask some silly questions and hope you will help (you all seem very patient and helpful!) - I managed to lose 2 lb last week which included a pizza and an Indian meal out so I was quite pleased.

Anyway, my little hint, referring to a post only a little way back, is that porridge for one only takes a minute or so in the microwave, I make mine fresh each morning - a handful of oats, water to cover, mic for a minute, add fat free yog and some honey or syrup (they are little sins obviously) and nosh whilst getting ready for work!

Ooooh my other little hint: someone way back mentioned how much jeans weigh on your weigh in night. ALSO BEWARE OF PADDED BRAS (girls only obviously). One week at SW I had an unexplained 1 lb gain and when I came home I weighed my underwear .....
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

No only a recipe book which unfortunately doesn't shred light on a and bs

    Hi Jammygal

Why not buy woman mag (90p), use the register free voucher and get all the books you need to start you off for the cost of your first class? (£4.50)
I know you have to go, pay the first time etc but you might find it really useful to have the new members talk and at least you have the books to follow at home:D

got slimmer of the week - from last week - couldnt believe it. Put on 1/2 pound this week though. Think it may have been something to do with the large lunch at the pub yesterday!
