Things like varying your healthy extras can help, drinking plenty of water, making sure you weigh anything that does need weighing. So easy to get 28g totally wrong!
Keeping a food diary helps & making sure you use your syns, they're there to be used an enjoyed. On one of my other SW attampts I found if i didnt use my syns I wouldn't lose.
My best suggestion is to go back to basics, do everything like it was your 1st week. Eat lots, thats the best thing about SW!
Hope some of this helps! :T
Thanks! Scanning back over the week, I think I might have had a lot of cheese and bread - maybe more variety is needed! I haven't used all my syns this week, which is unusual for me - but I thought (sillyly maybe) that I might try sticking to the five a day minimum to see if that made a difference. Apparently, it didn't!0 -
Quite a bit of cheese yeah & im sure having different HE's makes a difference, if your body is expecting whats coming it knows how to deal with it, surprise it a bit!
Remember water, sugar free squash, syn free flavoured fizzy waters & eat your syns.
Good luck for this week!0 -

Neither would I
Really, what would you like to be eating, or even, what are the things you used to eat that you fancy now... we need to start somewhere, and I know there is hope!0 -
Has anyone found a cheap and (syn) free alternative to the Total Greek 0% yogurt. The price of the 150g pot jumped from 69 pence recently to 89 pence .
In some shops you can get the big pots but thats jumped from £1.99 to £2.29 I think.
I have had trouble finding the big pots but I do prefer the smaller pots as they are much more practical.
I maintained for the last two weeks and lost 1 pound the week before that. The maintains are not a surprise as I havent really been sticking to the plan. Ive kind of reached the "im totally bored with it" and if it wasnt for the fact that I was asked to join the social team then I probably would have left. I still want to leave but I know that if I did, my synful weeks would turn into over the top synful weeks and the weight would creep back on.
one of my mistakes is that when I have been hungry, Ive been snacking but not on free foods. Ive been addicted to those Malteser Chocolate bunnies. Im not sure on the syn value but the kcal 155 for 29g so lets estimate 8 syns and some days, Ive munched two! plus all the other syns.
I stocked up on mullerlights and need to stock up on some fruit.
Im going to sit down probably tomorrow now and write out a menu but my breakfast of greek 0% yogurt and 28g alpen is not really something I can afford hence any suggestions for an alternative!
to the new members in their first week who have not seen the result in the scales that they were expecting then please dont be disheartened. If you have been sticking to the plan then the results will show although it might take a couple of weeks. You should look at your weight loss over the month rather than the individual week as things like star week, whether you have had more green days than red etc in any particular week will all play a contributing factor. stick with it :jand you will soon be rewarded for your efforts.0 -

.
My first reaction is simple - there is no alternativeI have tried a couple of own brand vlf greek yogs and they aren't a patch on Total.
Then I had a (possibly) bright idea ...
Years ago I used to make an indian desert called Shrikand, what you do is start by getting vlf natural yogurt and straining it through a cloth overnight in the fridge. This has the effect of massively thickening it, and it makes it extra creamy. (for the Shrikand you then sweeten it and use saffron etc - another time!! )
You can use the cheapest value brand 500ml pots, and although you will be reducing quantity, because it is cheap, you should still b getting good value.
might be worth a try - do let me know if you do (now I have thought of this, guess what I will be trying in the next few days  )0 -
