Hi nosierosie - I'm RUBBISH at ideas for meals usually - but like you I love Green days for the same reason. You don't have to mix your days - but many of us find it works well for us to vary which plan we do.

I have found that SALMON is a real life-saver when I'm having a Red day. Its really filling - and many supermarkets have value brands if money is an issue. You can bake it in tin foil - add salt, pepper, herbs, lemon juice, lime juice - whatever you like - and then add it to a salad, or a healthy extra portion of slimming world chips or new potatoes, or fresh garden veg. The leftovers are also really tasty when cold - and its nice to pick at :rotfl:
Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

    Thanks for that.

Found out at work that the Benecol lights are 2 syns, which isn't too bad.

    Pete

I take a Yakult drink every morning and they are 2.5 for the regular and 1.5 for the light, which are not as sweet, so nicer in my opinion. Sorry, I know its not the Benecol but I don't know that one. Did a check SW online and its not coming up as recognised.

Hope it's a Home Made burger as lots of shop bought burgers have syns!

    Red day ideas;
cooked breakfast style (works for brekkie lunch or dinner)
Beef Curry with jacket pot (or syn some rice - 28g = 5syns)
Gammon, Egg & Salad (and/or HEb SW chips/wedges)
Quorn Peppered Steaks, (as above Heb) and salad/green beans & carrots
    Stirfry with prawns/chicken/anything
Chicken/Turkey breast stuffed with garlic quark wrapped in bacon with stir-fry veg
    Lamb/Pork Chops, jacket pot & green beans/carrots
Roast dinner, cabbage, carrots, green beans (Heb new pots and syn gravy)
Shepherds/Cottage Pie with extra lean mince lamb/beef topped with swede instead of potato (can bulk it out with mushrooms, tinned toms, grated carrot etc)
Mustard Chicken in Parma Ham with salad
    Omlette with ham/mushrooms/prawns/seafood/sausage/bacon
Beef casserole with HEb Jacket Pot

On a red day you can eat syn free burgers and sausages. There are pages of info on sausages on this thread lol. I like www.joessausages.co.uk - they have certified syn free slimming world burgers/sausages/chicken in sauces. They are highly recommended by me, even with 6.99 delivery :)

If you go to class, do a group order & get free delivery:j

Been to weigh in and have put a 1lb on. But I know where it came from as I was out with work last night and ate too much Chinese food.

Cottage pie is fine if you like swede - it was perfectly edible (OH loved it) but I'm not the hugest fan of swede so ate more mince than topping!
