    Hi Everyone

I got the Mag yesterday, I really love reading all the stories of peoples acheivements, it is really inspiring.

I was reading the EE plan out to dh, he said...'isn't that just normal eating???' Well yeah I suppose it is, and I am still confused as to how it works. I mean I kow you are cutting down on HE's but that's it really.

Anyway, I will keep reading on here, I am waiting to see if quite a few of you have losses before I try it.

Thats what makes it a healthy eating plan for life. You fill up on 'real' food - it keeps you away from lots of refined carbs and refined sugars and fats - pastry, fat on meat, chocolate/sweets/crisps/alcohol etc (you're still limiting syns and HE's) I think thats the main thing rather than not mixing carbs and proteins (both of which are good for you and your body needs to operate).
  • Hi all on this thread, have been a MSE for awhile now, but only today found and subscribed to this thread.

I am a big fan of slimming world diet as if done properly i always lose weight but never feel hungry.

Anyway i am rejoining a group this wednesday, but think will need extra support as the friend I went with last year is heavily pregnant so I must rejoin on my own (awww!!!) So hope you are a friendly lot on here.

I did slimming world last year from april to august, then had operation and simply never got round to returning. I had lost about 1st 7lbs by time I went to last session, and am at present still over 1 stone lighter than this time last year, unfortunately I still have about 3-4 stone to lose, but I am determined that this will be the year.

Looking forward to reading any tips, success stories and sharing experiences with you all. Good Luck to all for 2009 slimming.
Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:

I was going to stick to this diet months ago but failed so at the beginning of December I trotted off to the local class and joined up again. Since then I have lost and lost. I have just been to class again and lost another 5.5 lbs - that means I have lost 1 stone 2lbs in a month! I am so thrilled. But I wanted to thank you lot as I have been reading your posts before I went and since I started. A big thank you everyone and here's to a slimmer, healthier 2009 for us all.

    Hi everyone

Well new year, new start as they say. After taking about it for over a week I have now decided that today is the day it happens.

    B - Toast

L - Grapes and orange (as didn't feel very hungry and had toast late)

T - Am trying the potato, cheese & onion bake from the january page of the calendar but am using 4oz cheddar instead of 6oz mozzarella. I will have this with quorn nuggets which if I remember rightly are 0.5 each and a large glass of white wine (6).

    Take care

    P.

Ah forgot about the muffins, slimming world friendly and have had 2. (3.5 each). Quite a lots of syns today but a least its not as many as could be.

  • Wow! I go out shopping for the day (had to hit the sales, DD back at school yay!) - and FOUR PAGES have passed :T

a big welcome to all the new posters - we hope to be seeing less of you all next year :j :j

I am starting to feel a bit better today, so have started to eat again  Today is a mix2max day:

B muller, milk in tea (A)
L (out) green - jacket potato with sweetcorn and cheddar (A) and salad, diet coke
D red - lean (but huge ;) ) pork chop with 200g crushed and 'roasted' new potatoes (B) and cabbage - probably stir fry-lighted with onions and garlic.

I need another B choice - I was given a huge tray of apples for christmas (do you think they got the 'I'm on a diet' message??!! :rotfl: :rotfl: ) so I could stew some up with sweetner, and have with 0% greek yog as a pud...... :D although I can't remember how many cooked apples you get for a B choice, from memory it is quite a lot!

No need to hang your head in shame at all -syns today 13 + nuggets - if you have 4 nuggets you are on target - that's no shame - that's a cause for celebration surely! Great first day I'd say :D:D Was it extra easy or green? (if green, I think you could have another B choice...)

I hope everyone is doing ok?

I have a couple of potentially tricky meals coming up and am wondering how to deal with them?

On Wednesday I'm going to a local hotel for a works training course and lunch will be provided, what it will be I have no idea.

Then on Thursday we're going out for my bosses leaving do at a local resturant, the firm are paying so it doesnt matter what we choose but again I'm wondering how to deal with it?

    Any words of wisdom chaps?
