Hi guys. Just found this forum this morning. Although I've been using the MSE forums to look for tips for ages, I've never registered or got involved. Then, stumbled across this earlier this morning!

I've been doing SW since mid June and lost 3 stone so far! Dropped nearly 2 dress sizes, which is a real boost. Ideally, according to BMI charts and stuff, I've got maybe another 5 to lose to be 'ideal' but I'm just wanting to get down a bit to be happier with myself.
I don't go to classes - got onto the idea of the diet through a friend and I've done it off my own back. No pressure or targets, just done it in my own time. I keep charts and stuff myself and I'm really pleased with my progress. I use the SW books to keep me right, of course!
It's good to see so many positives and everyone seems to be pleased with the plan.
I suppose I blotted my copy book this last two weeks - all the time I've been following the plan, I have not put anything on at all, but put 2lb on over the last 2 weeks. Started back on the plan properly Saturday morning, so I'm a bit happier again now.
I hope this forum can be a bit of a morale boost for me - there are only a couple of people in my family who know I'm on the plan, again I didn't need the pressure and hassle.

Keep up the good work whether you're an oldhand or a newbie to the plan - it does work if you do it properly. Cheating doesn't work. Be honest and you'll see the results. If someone like me with a serious sweet tooth and a sedentary job can do it, anyone can!

I love ExtraEasy:T!!! I lost 4.5 pounds this week! I was so bad on New Years Eve and again on Saturday night that I thought I had really blown it! I am so happy right now and feel totally inspired to be extra good this week!

    Love

What a fab start to the New Year. I've found a couple of times, when you think you've screwed up and had too many syns, you can still lose.

Keep up the good work! x

I was a bit miffed last night, I was all positive and motivated after having managed my first entire day back 'on plan' since Christmas ( without Chocolate). I decided to give myself an extra boost by logging onto SW website to have a poke around, admire my 'awards' and look at my weightloss graph which I find very motivational ( I should add that I have logged my weight religiously every week since April, with the exception of New Years week) Firstly it wouldn't let me log in in because I'd, apparently, not logged on for 6 weeks!!! SOOOO NOT TRUE . I tried to re-register but it kept coming up with an error and I then realised that all my info etc. will have gone, I was a bit fed up to say the least! OH didn't exactly help either, by clearly not understanding how important it was for me to see my achievements on screen. Ok rant over, just needed to get that off my chest :D

I'm going to New York in April so I'm going back to SW tomorrow night. I've only put 2 lbs on over the hols but it would be nice to lose a bit before we go away.

I've just managed to log onto SW and sure enough all my details have gone:mad:. I can't believe how upset I am about it! How dare they delete me! I'd managed to lose 4st upto Christmas and all that info has gone, I found logging on and seeing just how far I'd come and just how short ,in comparison, I had to go gave me a real boost if I had a bit of a wobble and it's all gone. I know I've still lost the 4st but seeing it confirmed to me was somehow reassuring, if you see what I mean. I've just read that back and I know I sound pathetic and irrational but thats how I feel

thanks for that - yeah I hope so :o:o

will defo be trying EE yes - that's one thing I've always missed not combining meat with spuds (or only very small amount) - might leave it a while though to see how I get on shifting some of what I've put on.
I would say go for it judders - Because you can have the free red and green unlimited it seems like you are not on a diet and you don't really feel like eating anything extra. It just seems more satisfying somehow:T Well done/commiserations on your weight - I think you are our new record holder!:rotfl::rotfl:

  • Hello!

Hope its ok if I (re) join you?! I go back to class tomorrow night and officially start my SW back on track today. I'm hoping to follow Extra Easy once I've had the talk with my consultant. :T

Can anyone tell me what a 28g portion of dried fruit and nuts would be? No brand or packaging. I had that as a mid morning snack and unless I find out otherwise i'm allowing my full 10 syns today for that just to try and be safe!

Also can anyone tell me if low fat natural yoghurt is syns? Is it just very low fat that is free? I was hoping to be able to buy tesco value low fat yoghurt but I'm not too sure if it will be syns. :o

Am going to be trying to eat reasonably naturally (hence low fat yoghurt with a couple of syns of honey and frozen fruit rather than mullerlights which have sweetners in). Does anyone else eat this sort of way? Ideas and recipes would be welcome!
  • Hi, I am about to join in 3 weeks, once im child free and able to concentrate on myself for once. Anyway I seem to have the taste for plain rice cakes. Are theses free on SW? Thanks
