Good morning everyone.
Well I guess that there will be no weight loss for me this week. Out to lunch at friends today - the last of DH's 65th birthday celebrations I hope. This is the 4th unplanned and off-plan meal since Wednesday. When we get home this evening I am back on track and planning my meals very carefully until WI on Tuesday evening.

I think it is having people staying in the house that causes me stress. Our company is here for another week yet - she is a lovely girl and there is no blame on her for this, it is just me angsting over my cooking, cleaning and entertainment duties! It will be worse in April when my sister and her husband are coming over from Canada and staying for a fortnight. She has never been to Europe before and I know my little house will look so poky and crowded compared to hers that I am panicking already! You would think that at me age I would stop being so silly:o:o:rolleyes:
I know what you mean about people coming to stay and running around after them , i have family come about twice a month , sometimes more because my father in law is a season ticket holder , there lovley .
What i do is make up a batch of freezer meals from my books , also everytime the ovens on i put jackets in and keep them in the fridge for wedges , skins , so it takes some of the hard work out of it .
Also prepacked salad ,make extra rice pudding, get a cooked chicken from the supermarket , take skin off ,chop some up with hot cooked bacon great on top of your predone salad , make up some pasta stick that in fridge , home made soup ect .
MARION :A :A your great at planning your food and if you do go out try just saving your syn for that , just don't worry , peachy xxx0 -
Hi :hello: , can someone tell the syn value in all the john west light lunches please .

I'm gonna mix the salmon moroccan style in some more chickpeas or i'll add it to rice or pasta for a change tomorrow on my E/E DAY only (1,1/2 ) :j , hey marion this would be a great quick fix for you , when people come , peachy xx0 -
Keep your chin up hun, totally understand where you are coming from as I am a master at self saboutage and suffered with anxiety adn depression for 7 years and know it is a viscious cycle. Do you like the SW chips as sometimes a plate of those with beans or eggs or bacon or low fat sausages can hit the mark. For sweet, it is a bit extravagant, but the Carte D'or Light Vanilla icecream works out at 45 syns for the whole tub, so you can have a generous scoop or two with a mound of fresh fruit without breaking the syn bank. I do remember reading that there are various sugar free syrups that calculate to be free that could be added to desserts or maybe even a coffee for a sweet hit .. hopefully someone can help me out with the name of them
Thank you for your support, have been feeling low but think I maybe getting a little better now, will definately try some of your suggestions.:)
Also thanks to all those who have come on here and also fessed up about their syn fests, it makes me realise that even the really experienced SW followers can have a need for a blow out, and this has helped me put my current poor following of the diet in pespective. Having extra easy day today and have just enjoyed a lovely steak, jacket spud and veg dinner, including synned grated cheese, and it has left me feeling much more satisfied than the macdonalds from earlier in week, it also had far more taste.Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:0 -
Please can someone check some syn values for me?
Hershey's Reese's Cups (original peanut butter) 3 pack (51g)
Cadbury Dairy Milk Cranberry and Granola (49g)
Kellog's Rice Crispie Squares chewy marshmallow (28g)
I am starting back on SW tomorrow, going it alone as I can't get to class. I still have some choc goodies left in the house and want to know if I can fit them in or if I should give away to avoid temptation (and the risk of stuffing my face with them tonight to "use them up")
thank youMum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)
loving SW - 5st off and counting! :j0 -

thanks so much for that
I wonder how much difference in syns there is between the reese's caramel cups and the peanut butter ones? I still have several packs of these in my cupboard and would love to be able to fit them into my eating plan. Do you think I would be way out if I counted each individual cup as 5 1/2 syns?Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)

Just been on Hersheys website and the darlings have all the nutritional values there! I've syn calculated the Caramel cups .. for a 39g "package" its 9.5 syns ... hopefully that size matches the ones in the cupboard!0 -
Only lost 1/2lb this week and was really disappointed in fact I asked her if she was sure as I had done really well following the plan but no only 1/2lb. Got a bit downhearted about it but thought it is better than gaining so decided to keep going. Maybe I am expecting too much too soon
Anyway just to say love reading this thread & seeing how everyone is doing & it really gets you motivated again.
Sometimes it's more useful to look at your weight loss over a couple of weeks (or even 3 or 4) instead of just one week.
Our bodies are very complicated machines and for no apparent reason will suddenly hang on to some fluid which will show up as weight on the scales. This could be gone within the hour, but of course, by then you've weighed in, had a cuppa and gone home again.
Don't be disappointed - if you know you've stuck to plan and you're confident you'll stick to it again this week, then your next week's loss should be a cracker(it's often overlooked that a loss of just 1lb a week adds up to 4 stone in a year...........4 stone!!!!)
Everybody (and every body) is different, we all lose weight at different rates, and often you lose inches instead of pounds so do be sure to measure yourself regularly as well.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
