    Morning all,

Liz I hope your Oh is feeling better today. its great to hear about the lovely compliments your coleagues gave you, try and remember those during the day and stay motivated and look after yourself. Keep eating food with natural sugars like bananas etc, eat little and often, that will help keep your energy and mood up and help you feel better to look after your oh.

Well done to all the losers, theres been some amazing losses, Im catching up from the weekend so cant remember everyone, but well done Marion, northernlass and Tyke, and everyone else.

Im afraid I havent folowed SW at all last week. I was feeling pretty low for a few days and oh was home so we enjoyed our selves food and wine wise. Had a lovely meal on Sat night too. But today is weigh in and I cant go as I need to get my car fixed. So I will get back on 100 % today and try and have a decent loss by next Tue.
Im going to try and have loads of superfree and superspeed foods this week. Loads of yoghurts, eggs, melon, turkey etc.

I wont post a meal plan for today as I need to get to Asda at some point. I dont have much in at the moment.

I really need to get focussed, thats a few weeks in a row my mind hasnt been on it, im slowly getting further away from that target. i wish I had Angie, SC and Marions will power to do 100 % days and really focus.

I've decided to give SW a try but reading through this and looking at their website it seems to have all really changed. When I followed it years ago it was red and green days + x amount of sins.

I can't join a class as I live abroad and can't really afford to join online at the moment.

My mum is going to send me a copy of the magazine over and if I get on with it then I'll join online at the end of the month when I've got a bit more cash.

Could anyone gives me any tips or explain roughly how it works.

  • Hello all

I used to go to classes and lost 2.5 stone last year but as I was pregnant and we moved house I gave up going. My baby is 6m old and I weigh half a stone more than I did at my last weigh in (when I was 5m pregnant) but still have lots to lose

My DH works a shift cycle which means he doesn't do the same shift the same day every week so it would be very hard for me to get to class every week (there is only 1 class in the town in the evenings and the next town is 45mins away). I really want to start SW again but don't know the best way of doing it is. I have 6 kids so taking them with me isn't an option! LOL I could go to the first class and get the pack and try and go it alone - don't know how successful that would be though.

    thanks :D
    Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)
loving SW - 5st off and counting! :j

    Hi all,
I joined SW last Monday, so tonight is my first WI. I had been a WW girl last year and did quite well (considering I have PCOS) but two miscarriages later and it's all crept back on and I'm back to where I started.

Anyway I chose SW over WW as it seems to encourage you to make healthier choices than WW, as syns are quite high for "naughty" foods, whereas I could eat 26 points worth of rubbish on WW.

I've not followed the plan to the letter, I've had a bit more bread and weetabix than I should have, but nothing drastic. I've not had sweets, chocolate, biscuits, cakes, crisps etc all week and to be honest I've not missed them. My only vice has been a couple of Skinny Cow ice cream biscuits things. Unfortunately I can't find a syn value for them (what a shame :D !)

I'm hoping to follow EE all of next week. Although I really can't see how you can eat all of thosse free foods without gaining weight.

    Hi
I started SW 2 weeks ago and did EE and thought exactly the same. But i lost 3lbs eating more than i ever do!!! So it works.

  • Liz3yy - just wanted to offer you a big hug. My OH had a wisdom tooth problem over a weekend about a year ago and was in so much pain, it was hard to believe it was a tooth problem. We even ended up at the NHS Direct drop in centre. Is he taking all the medication he can (ie iboprofun and paracetamol as he can take both), (disclaimer to read packet etc etc before taking). :)

Well done to everyone keeping up with your losses.
I stuck (as usual) to the diet last week and once again managed to not lose anything. I swear if I was at target I couldn't stick exactly and matain the exact weight every week.
I'm so close to giving up, then another week passes and I stick with it again only to stay at the same weight.
I put a lot of store into it being something to do with my thyroid problem and medication, its all I could put it down to.
Yesterday I spent the best part of the day at hospital for results. Was told there isn't anything wrong with me I 'Just have' chronic fatigue, go away deal with it, have a glass of whisky or brandy at night and I may never lose weight!!!!
Feeling very shocked today. Didn't get to class WI last night (late because of hospital), but consultant has said I can now go along as a 'social member' or 'target member' (even though I'm about 2 st off target) and not pay because I inspire others, God knows how???
She said I don't have to pay but paying isn't the issue, losing no weight is.
    Fed up AGAIN. Arhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Hi, Well done on all your losses and maintains.

I was a member of SW till last year when I left as I had a foot op and have consequently put on 1st over the last 5 months (inc Christmas) because of eating 'normally' and lack of excercise and doc says I most probably wont be fully fit till 12 months have passed  although I'm doing some walking and exercising on the wii fit board when I'm able.

OH and I have now started the SW diet again and have so far lost 1/2 stone each by going over the books/mags I have. Looking through my sheets I've got a syn fee meal of Mashed Potato pizza but I cannot find a copy of how to cook it! I know you made the base from insant mash (1/2 qty water) but when I tried it, it was very soggy and not very appetising (although OH loved it). Can anyone help me with the recipe?

    Very grateful if you can.
