  • I am not aware of one, sorry Marion - but what a great idea to have one visible on your fridge :)

Maybe someone who frequents the 'other' SW forums may know of one....
  • Or I could win the lottery and sign into an expensive health farm on an exotic island somewhere with lots of massages and all my SW meals prepared for me to eat on the beach! Dream on - why not!:D:rotfl:

    Love
    Marion

If you win the lottery, you will be able to take us all there with you....:j :j .... I think the massages are essential though :D to have good losses.

The chicken, the sweet n sour and chow mein are all the 'noodle' Mug shots which are all free.
The tomato pasta one is the only pasta one that is free.
The Roast chicken being queried is a pasta one so is not free but is not on the website to say how many syns (though I'd guess 2)

Afternoon all. My Oh is home for the long weekend, we will both have to try super hard so we dont go mad like we do on a normal weekend. He hasnt tried the wii fit yet so we will have fun with that later. Ive also been organised and planned the next few days dinners and been to Asda and got everything I need, so no excuses. My oh does SW too, and hes cooking on Valentines, so It will be SW friendly (apart from the wine we are saving syns for) We dont usually bother with gifts for Valentines, we usually just get each other a nice bottle of wine or champers. So I dont know what to do this year.all that is in the shops are silly teddies, wine and gorgeous choccies.

Today I am doing EE ( i said I was going back to red/green but I cant get my head round them now, im so used to EE lol)

Brekkie - Marions syn free pancakes with banana and golden syrup (free, 1 syn)

Lunch - Toast with spread ( Heb +1 1/2 syns), Activia yoghurt, another banana

Dinner Pork loin steaks with fat removed, onions, carotts charlotte potatoes, tsp mustard, chicken bovril, cider(magners lite) all in my slow cooker just now to be ready for 7pm, its smells so good already. (all free apart from the mustard 1 syn and cider 41/2 syns, but its between 2 )

snacks - apple, yoghurts, loads of water

so that we dont stray im going to par bake some potatoes (in the micro), let them go cold then they can be made into SW chips later if we get peckish. They are so much quicker done like this, it means I dont get fed up waiting and nibble on other things.

Milk in cups of tea as HEA

  • Can i ask for a bit of advice.

My wife does Sw and at the moment she / we are having a bit of a hard time with it all. Dont know why, we just cant seem to be bothered i suppose.
So she got weighed yesterday and we decided to be really good this week.
Tonight, we are planning on having Sw chips, beans fried egg maybe and a beef steak medallion. This steak looks really nice, so i dont want to spoil it:cool: .

What i am after is advice on how to cook it. Was planning on using the health grill, that just seems to make meat taste bland. How would you recommend i cook it?
    Many thanks

Mark, I use a Forman grill for my steaks and they are good:D. You could try sprinkling a little steak seasoning on them or a couple shakes of worcestershire sauce or garlic powder. Make sure the grill is really hot before you put the steaks on so you don't have them stewed or baked tasting instead of lovely grilled taste. Don't overcook them either! After cooking a bit of salt and pepper finishes them off nicely
If push comes to shove you could always syn a tsp of cooking oil (2 syns) and fry them!

Enjoy and tell your wife she is a lucky girl to have you getting involved in the diet!:rotfl: (unless you are nagging her about it, in which case stop it right now:p)

  • Sarge - how would you normally cook it I guess? I find the george forman seems to ad flavour to things, but you could also grill or dry fry (either in a good non-stick pan or use fry light.
