So... yesterday was my fourth wiegh in and I lost 6.5 lbs! I was so chuffed as i'd only lost half a ound the week before. My consultant didn't notice I should've had my half a stone award so some one told her and she just gave me a sticker and I had to put in on my book myself. I didn't even get a clap!
I am so upset after working so hard- I thought the point was to be supported. I don't think i'm going to go back to that group anymore.
Anyway, I just feel rubbish today. Only had a flake for 8.5 syns tho so at least i've not bought a bottle of wine like I normally would if something upset me.
I know it sounds silly really..I just wanted a bit of encouragement.
Well done everyone who lost this week. Sorry for moaning...

Does anyone know when the next SW magazine is out? the March one

Its in the shops from the 12th. Its a bumper food one as well., loads of recipes. i like the fact they put the price per portions on some of them, its good to know what cheap but tasty dishes you can make.
I do SW on a very tight budget. I check online on all the supermarket yoghurt offers etc.I shop late at night and get whoopsied meat and freeze it,i buy a lot of fruit and veg from the local veg shop, and I batch cook. And at my skintest I do mainly greens days as I find red expensive. Im finding EE middle of the road, but working out cheaper as I can add a lot more potatoes to meat, lentils to bulk out currys, bolognaise etc and its cheaper as we can eat more as a family. before I would make one meal for the kids then sit down to a different meal later.hth

WOW Jak! 6.5lbs in your fourth week is amazing! Just goes to show if your losses aren't what you'd hope for one week (despite sticking to plan etc) that it can catch up with itself!
have a clap from me :T:T:T

I have NO idea how, but I manage to pull my day back around.
    Breakfast: Apple
After WI snack: weetabix with milk (HEa +HEb)
Lunch: quorn spag bol and jacket potato
Snack: 3 biscuits (9 syns) tea , weetabix (HEa + HEb)
Dinner: SW chips, beans, quorn sausages, sweetcorn + muller

I don't use all the HEa in the weetabix, so the reaminder goes on 1-2 cups of tea a day

Jeez Jak I would have been seriously peed off too! Losing 6.5 pounds in your fourth week in practically a miracle and I can only think your consultant had not realised that you had had such a huge loss in your fourth week! Do you go to a very large class? Maybe a smaller one would suit you, or why not try giving her a ring (once you have calmed down;)) maybe tomorrow and tell her that you need a little more encouragement and support from her. If she is a good consultant she will take that on board - hopefully!
In the mean time take a great big huge well done from me!:T:T:T:T:T:T:A

I was looking today at my graph thing (the one one the website where you enter your weight each week and it predicts various dates) and it really put into perspective the impact of giving up for a week or so. I stupidly gave up last week for no real reason, and now the whole gradient has changed and will take me longer.
My sister is coming tomorrow and I am hoping we don't go out for lunch. If we go for coffee I will try to drink coffee or tea, not hot chocolate. Need to have a good week next week, as the week after will have 2 tricky days (going home one day, not going to resist my mum's cooking, and then going to a conference the next) and then the week after I probably will have to go to pizza express eeeep!

I might suggest to my sister we cook some food here or something, can anyone think of something good to share, I am too used to cooking by myself!

No suggestions sorry - bit brain dead tonight - but how about starting something by the time she gets to you - then saying 'oh lets just have this' or 'I wanted to try this receipe out on someone'? Worth a try ;)

Good idea! I'm sure she will be understanding anyway :)

Actually, wow just found the syn values for Nandos, if I were on EE (which i will be) it is very low syns! 1/4 chicken breast is 6 syns on red, and I found 2 different things for the rice. Someone said without a source it was free, the syns calculator says 2.5 so can't complain anyway!

Plenty, especially on extra easy! What about thai curry for dinner? Just bneeds you to be able to go shopping at a good supermarket to get the ingredients first ;)
    THAI VEG CURRY
    *~*~*~*~*~*~*
    3 garlic cloves
1 red chilli, plus a few slices to garnish
    2 stalks of lemon grass
    Small bunch of coriander
    1 tsp grated ginger
    Juice of 3 limes
    1 onion, 2 aubergines and 3 carrots
    Fry Light
    9oz/255g green beans
4fl oz/113ml reduced fat coconut milk
9fl oz/255ml chicken stock made with Bovril
Salt and freshly ground black pepper.
    1) Make the Thai curry paste: crush the garlic, deseed and chop the chilli and chop the lemon grass and coriander. Reserving some of the coriander for garnish, blend the other ingredients in a food processor with the ginger and lime juice. Add a little water if necessary.
    2) Chop the onion, aubergines and carrots into chunks and cook in a pan spayed with Fry Light for 6-8 minutes, stirring often. Stir in the Thai Curry paste and cook for a further 1-2 minutes.
    3) Halve the green beens and add to the pan with the coconut milk and stock. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Season well and serve with boiled rice. Garnish with the remaining coriander and sliced red chillies.

    Serves: 4
    Sins per serving: Green - 1.5 ~ Original - 1.5
    Preparation: approx 25 mins
    Cook: approx 30 mins
Freeze: when cooked, this dish can be frozen for up to 1 month.

Or what about getting a HM cottage pie on the go? or something in the slow cooker.. that way you can act like you made it especially for her therefore she would be rude to turn it down ;)
