Which yogurts are on offer that are free?
Hi Jak A great big well done from me also :T:T:T:T:T:T
I normally get shape lasting satisfaction yogurts, I saw them in Asda £1.44 or 2 for £2.50 BUT Activia fat free yoghurts all varieties are 2 for £3.00 at the moment for the 8 packs, they are normally £2.98 for 8, so a good buy there. (Asda again) the 4 packs are 2 for £3.00 as well but I cant imagine why anyone would buy them when the 8 packs are such a good dealthey hav a good shelf life so they wont be going off anytime soon. hth

I was looking today at my graph thing (the one one the website where you enter your weight each week and it predicts various dates) and it really put into perspective the impact of giving up for a week or so. I stupidly gave up last week for no real reason, and now the whole gradient has changed and will take me longer.
My sister is coming tomorrow and I am hoping we don't go out for lunch. If we go for coffee I will try to drink coffee or tea, not hot chocolate. Need to have a good week next week, as the week after will have 2 tricky days (going home one day, not going to resist my mum's cooking, and then going to a conference the next) and then the week after I probably will have to go to pizza express eeeep!
I might suggest to my sister we cook some food here or something, can anyone think of something good to share, I am too used to cooking by myself!
Hmmm the dreaded coffee shop moment. what does one pick? that boring cup of tea or coffee or that synful hot chocolate or mocha? and what about something to eat? no chance of a syn free treat what with all those pannins, pastries and danishes crying "eat me" eat me" . may be if you are lucky, there might be a pot of sad looking grapes which you need a bank loan to buy? Sorry no jacket spuds today how about that toasted sarnie ???
soup? no problem, let me throw in two huge slices of granary bread with butter and I wont mention all the cream I added when I made it this morning.
For me, SW has been a real relevation. I thought when I joined that I would never be able to drink alcohol or munch chocolate ever again. I could not have been more wrong!
If I receive an invite to the pub or the local coffee shop then I almost feel resentful because I want to go (but wish I hadnt received the invite) but why should I not join my friends just because I have to watch the syns? Does it really matter that all my syns will get used up by just having that regular mocha?
TO BE HONEST, Im not doing SW to be miserable and as and when I go to the coffee shop (which isnt every day) then I tend to have what I want. That doesnt mean I have that triple choc deluxe hot chocolate with flake, tons of cream, chocolate sprinkles and extra flake!- it might be a fruit smoothie or a mocha but I look upon it that overall my foods choices are much better than they used to be and as SW is a plan Im following for life then the odd treat now and again is just well part of the plan (and I wont be getting my abacus out to count the syns!)
If the hot choc is what you want then in my opinion have it? your body likes variety and treats and I firmly believe that a bit of what you fancy does you good? How will you feel if you have a boring cup of black coffee? will you feel resentful when you go home and binge on that huge bar of dairy milk?
In answer to your question though! if you do eat at home then I would suggest (because this is what I would have) some yummy jackets with some crispy bacon (now we have Extra Easy) and some cheese as your HEA. Served with a huge side salad. IF you dont fancy bacon then perhaps tuna and salad or prawns and salad or nice and simple with beans and cheese? proper comfort food
Pudding - mullerlight yogurt perhaps or a cup of tea and a smal (2 finger) kitkat?
If you dont fancy jackets? do you have a sandwich toaster? you could have some bread as your HEB and make a toasted sandwich with plenty of yummy fillings to pick from? again serve with a huge salad and perhaps some low fat coleslaw. Perhaps serve afterwards with an options hot choc and a kitkat or low syn cake for that coffee shop at home moment?0 -

Flat Eric, you are right. I hate how often I fall into these should I/shouldn't I moments though. I had a coffee in starbucks the other day, was seriously the most disappointing ever. Ahh heck I never get to see my sister, I will have a good time, but not go crazy (eg have lunch and a hot chocolate out, but not come back and eat pudding and chocolate etc etc because it's my 'day off')
We might end up eating at home anyway, we tried to go out for lunch once before but there were queues out the door for every restaurant/starbucks :eek:
It is the beginning of my week anyway, I have until Friday next week to make up for it.
Onwards tomorrow! Then angel for the next week :A0 -
Had a bit of an eek moment this morning. Have made a huge beef, potato, root vegetable casserole and it's in the slow cooker. I decided to chuck in a big handful of pearl barley to thicken it all up when it cooks and I suddenly thought - whoops - syns in pearl barley?! Looked them up and they are 5 on red and free on green, so as I'm doing EE, they are free!
Jak - here is a huge clap from me - well done on your amazing 4th week loss!"Stay Wonky":D

Jak that loss is incredible for a 4th week :T :T CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!:T :T
Thanks Flat Eric for the toastie idea - it had never crossed my mind - im excited now thinking what i can bung in it! Just bought some of those toaster pocket thingies for making toasties for the kids but usually they are bunged full of full fat cheese I just hadnt thought I could adapt it for me. :T
Its my mums 60th birthday tomorrow and were are taking her out for a meal and my Brother picked where we are going - i said do they have healthy options, salads etc. and he laughed and said you will just have to stop slimming for one night!!
I am a bit torn I will obviously be going and am so looking forward to celebrating with my Mum but worried about what I can have. No doubt there will be something on the menu that is not too bad, but trying to be super good this week I am counting every Syn and tomorrow that may be scuppered.
Anyhow Im off out in the snow to buy more pudding rice as thanks to Marion I am currently addicted to Marions Rice Muller Special. You can stand there and agonize........

Jak thats amazing well done! :T :T :T :T
I don't think you're being silly at all in wanting a bit of recognition in your achievements especially when you'd been so disappointed the week before but had still stuck with it, you could have so easily thought stuff it and I'm sure there are plenty of us that would've done so too. Well done again :T :T :T :TWhen Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -
... just a toastie thought (you have taken me back to my student days when one of my flatmates had a toastie machine, and we lived on them for a while
) ..... I remember that used to push down the bottom slice as much as poss, then crack an egg in and close the other bread on top - nuclear hot, but very good
flatmate used to do peaches and cinnamon IIRC - used to smell delish!
