Evening all - Ive just had the nicest tea all made by my own fair hand - which is a massive thing for me considering a year ago I considered putting something in the microwave as cooking!
Anyways used my new steamer that my team at work bought me to do some rice and had that with syn free sausages (our local butcher sells them and they are yummy!), onions, mushrooms, garlic, tinned toms and seasoning. It was lovely and even the kids ate it!
I am following extra easy for a couple of weeks to see how it goes.
Hope everyone is ok x x

I have joined this forum to hopefully join in the great support form its members.
I am a male aged 39 years. whom was 15 st 4 1b in September I gave up somking and put on one and half stone, then in october had a serious car crash which i am still recovering from and my weight has gone to 18st 101b.
I live in a very town in wales and my neighbour dropped over to me a food optimising book from SW, which reading over it (i think its a few years old,) seems really good. so I have started on Jan 1st and my aim is to first get back to 15st am 6ft in height. can not do much exercise as my now have back problems.
I had a green day yesterday and a red day today.
hope to learn more from this forum
kind regards

Wecome welshspencer:D Well done for packing up smoking. If you can do that, this will be a walk in the park!;) I gained loads of weight when I quit but I've got it off now and some more. :j I'm wondering whether you could go swimming with your back probs. It's very good exercise and it will keep you supple. Likewise gentle walking would help I'm sure. You don't have to do gym workouts to stay fit. Are you seeing a physio? If not, go and see your GP and ask to be referred to one because they may even arrange for hydrotherapy or something. I should think your GP will see you as a star patient (with giving up smoking) and will be only too pleased to point you in the right direction. Stick around though because the SW plan is FAB!!0 -
Hi
I'm a newbie here - going to my first meeting on tuesday and I'm scared!! I need to lose a LOT of weight and I'm just nervous about walking in to see a bunch of strangers and finding out how much I weigh (I have no idea).
eek!
PLost 2 stone 12.5lbs since February 2011. :j0 -
Went to weigh-in today and lost 1.5 lbs and half a pound Xmas week so I have just half a pound to go to get my 2 stone award.:j
Consultant 31 - I am ever positive!!;) I'd like to thank you VERY much for all the help/advice you give on here.:D :beer:0 -
Oh dear I've fallen off the wagon already....
On New Years day I started off really well and yesterday too, but today I woke up feeling a bit under the weather. I managed some weetabix and yoghurt for breakfast then me and the OH drove to Bristol for a days shopping, by the time we got there I was feeling a bit sick and off colour and I had to be sick in the toilets at the Park and Ride!, I felt a bit sorry for myself after that and decided I had better have a good meal to sort me out so...
I had a chicken pitta, chips and rice followed by a toffee cheesecake in Nandos....:o then to make matters worse I had a hot chocolate!!!!!!
Christ knows how many syns are in that lot?!
I have a painful throat now and that always worrys me as I had tonsilitis 3 years ago which laid me low for a month - I did lose a stone but I didnt give a monkeys as I felt so rubbish!
Fingers crossed this is just an off day I feel better tomorrow, send me happy thoughts people! They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Phantom - welcome too!!:D Try not to be nervous. If you feel shy why not get there really early. The consultant will be "setting up" and I'm sure won't mind. That's solved the prob of walking in on a bunch of strangers!;)
Do you want to say how much weight you have to lose? (OK if you don't!) There are people in the SW mags who have lost 10 and 11 stones and probably more. At our group there are several who have lost 6 or 7 stones.
It's a great plan and really does encourage healthy eating. My whole family eat this way now and I swear we're all fitter and leaner. Let us know how you get on!!0 -
Welcome Phantom - try not to worry about your first meeting, everyone will be really friendly and it will be the best thing you ever did!
When you get weighed just remember that you will never see that weight again and Ive got about 6 stone left to lose so i'll be around for a while yet.
Have a good week x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Just draw a line under today and start afresh tomorrow. At least you KNOW what you did was dumb if you're trying to lose 3 stones!;)
Are you paying to go to class each week, because sometimes that alone is enough to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Will deffo send you positive thoughts.0
