  • Well done to everyone who lost tonight/ so far this week.
I lost 4.5 lbs myself, it is my first weigh in, and I am pretty chuffed as have done diet before and did not expect such a high loss in first week especially as aunty flo arrived this afternoon.
Have to say only time I am hungry is late afternoon, anyone got any low syn sweet ideas (excluding pieces of fruit and mullerlights, already use these but need some variety).
Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:

Do they need to be portable? I was thinking sugar-free jelly (0.5syns) or the free lemon meringue? Curly Wurly - 6 syns and if its frozen it lasts longer! Sugar-free gum to tied you over? Some are 0.5syn for 4 pieces.
You can have two Alpen Light bars as a HEb or 3 syns each, or a Hi-Fi bar from class?

Thanks again everyone for taking the time to post your losses and meal plans - they do help so much:T :T

I only post a couple of times a week but I read this thread twice a day and read every single post and find you all to be so helpful and kind.

This week was my third weigh in and I lost 3lbs - taking me to 8lbs in 3 weeks. Im very pleased with that and much of it is down to ideas and help on here.

    THANKS x

    Free Lemon Meringue
    Ingredients

    1 Lemon
    3 Eggs
    300g Quark
4 tbspns artificial sweetener (not granulated, must be powdered)

    Preparation

Preheat the oven 180 degrees C/350 degrees F/Gas mark 4.

Seperate the egg whites from the eggs, grate the lemon rind and squeeze out the juice.

In a bowl whisk the quark until it is smooth and creamy, add the lemon rind and juice, egg yolks and 2 tbspns of sweetener. Share the mixture between 4 ramekin dishes, place the dishes onto a baking sheet and put into the oven to bake for about 10 minutes.

In a seperate bowl, whisk the egg whites vigorously until the mixture forms peaks and they hold their shape, whisk in the last of the sweetener.

Remove the 4 ramekins from the oven and pour the egg white mixture equally on top of each one.

Return the ramekins to the oven and bake for 5 minutes or until the meringue's are golden brown.

    Sin value per serving:

    Green Day - FREE
    Red Day - FREE

  • As for sweet ideas, my group are always keen on 'ferrero rocher' essentially scan bran or riveta crushed and held together with nutella. I think they work out around 1 syn each (as opposed to 4 syns each for the real thing!) but I don't have a recipe - I think there might be one on the website though...

I make a mousse by whisking jelly (cold but not set) with muller lights...

In the summer (and why not in January too!) you can make lollies with sf squash / sf lemonade / low cal bitter lemon / mullers etc...

The other day there was a recipe for 'weetabix cake' posted here - about 3 syns a piece IIRC ...

apparently freezing grapes is quite exciting (!)
