Hi All,
I've been lurking on this thread for a while now and you've really inspired me to take the plunge again.
I lost 18 lbs with SW a while back and kind of lost motivation and lapsed into my previous eating habits before I had reached my target weight
Consequently I've put back on about 6 lbs, but this time I am determined to reach my target (and stay there!). I have all the info from my previous time so I am going to keep reading this board for motivation and support if that's OK.
As I'm not going to classes (and therefor I'm a bit confused about the new EE plan) I am going to stick to what I know and opt for the Green or Red Days - has anyone had much success with the Mix2Match days?
So todays plan...
RED
B. Bacon Sandwich (Free, Bread - Heb)
L. Ploughmans (All Free except Cheese Hea and pickle (1 syn)
D. Chilli (All free except Kidney Beans - Heb)
Snacks: Fruit
Other HEa Milk in tea
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can have with my chilli. I usually have rice but I notice that's not on the healthy extras for a red day and I already managed to use up my hebs:o
Thank you,

Are you sure you're actually hungry or could you need fluid? I know it sounds daft but your brain can send mixed messages. You should be aiming to drink at least 2½ litres of fluid a day (not including alcoholic drinks, lol).
Secondly, you may be thinking of food, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're hungry, just that you're used to different foods and missing them. If this is the case, try to build your favourite foods into your daily life.
If you plan properly, Slimming World menus are definitely filling and I say this from the perspective of one of the worlds biggest eaters - if they gave medals at the Olympics, I'd win a gold :rotfl:
Perhaps if you listed one of your menus for a day, we could see where you're going wrong!
I had a change of heart this morning and decided to sod the diet.. and broke it with porridge. Which is just as well because I saw the error or my ways and decided I should be doing it really. So I am just going to count it as 1HEa and 1HEb and 2 syns or so for the honey (there was literally no honey on it, it has solidified in the squeezey jar)
Lunch is a jacket potato and cottage cheese, a clementine and perhaps a muller.
Dinner is usually fairly substantial, a casserole or rice meal of some variety.
By 9pm I am hungry again and want cereal or something.
I do drink water, it makes you feel sick for about 5 minutes, then full for about 2 mins, then it's back to being hungry.
I just don't feel totally committed, I have constant changes of heart and can't get out cravings out of my head/the taste from my mouth.I live with 18 other girls, and am constantly comparing myself to them, and see what their eating and just get jealous I suppose.0 -

Hi TM - I know you want to stick to Red (I am having chilli with a big plate of salad and roast veg for tea tonight) but if you had an EE day you could have potatoes or rice without having to count
The basics are
Free Food - any food which is free on RED or GREEN days - eat freely and have food from both lists on the same day of you wish
HE's - 1 x A and 1 x B off either RED or GREEN day list
Syns - whatever you have as syns take the lower syn value - ie if its less on a red day take the red day syn value
SO for the menu above that means you can have bread as your HEB, Cheese or milk as your HEA (you will have to syn the other) and kidney beans freely as they are free foods and then you can have rice and/or potates.
Theres a few explanations around the thread or if you get the current magazine theres a good explanation and a 7 day eating plan in there and loads of people have reported very good losses.

Hi all, thanks for all the congrats on me achieving my wedding dress challenge. Hope Angie is ok. Catt sorry to hear you're in a 'don't fancy that' mood. I get like that sometimes when I've planned everything out to the n'th degree, maybe you should just go a bit easier on yourself
. Judderman....................you sir are a cad, a scoundrel and a bounder ...............how dare you lose weight and get slimmer of the week after you mealfest:D We'll all be rushing to eat, eat, eat after that!
Anyway I'm pleased, I had WI last night and had shifted 3lbs, taking me back to within 2lbs of my 4 st ( which I did achieve before christmas)
Also just to reort a lady in our class, a long time member, lost 5lbs last week on EE, the most she had ever lost in one week, so it obviously works for some people, maybe you should give it a try for a little longer Rob.
Anyway keep going everyone:TWhen Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -

he he thanks
Catt - never heard of the 7 day 14 day heb thing, wotchamacallit , thingumyHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
I always make chilli with Quorn - that way you don't have to worry about the weight of the kidney beans and you can have unlimited rice!
Just had pasta n sauce for lunch - and it was GOOD! Crosse & Blackwell Carbonara - YUMMY! Even tiny tiny bits of ham but its free on green (and on offer at Approved Foods!!!)
Still don't know what to have for dinner though
Judds - the challenge is to have 14 completely different HEb's in a week (obviously not on EE!)! It makes you think about how to incorporate them etc! Good fun (not that I've ever managed it!)

Wow, that eating plan actually seems really straight forward. Thank you so much zavarony for explaining it :A . Maybe I'll give EE a go then for a couple of weeks (I see that's the time span people see results in).0

It is almost too good to be true!! Ive only just gone back myself and thought I would do red or green to start but found EE quite easy to do and v family friendly, I did it most of last week and have done it most of this so far (WI on Mon am) with just a couple of green days thrown in
Anyway good luck with it if you have a go - just post your menus on here each day and say which day your having then someone will always let you know if you've not quite got the hang of it :rotfl:MFW 2010 Challenge (No 68) - £133.29/ £5000MFITT2 Challenge - (No 181) - Target Reduce mortgage to £130,000Mortgage @ 1.8.09 - £161160  @1.12.09 - £159052  @ 1.2.10 £157,3630 -
Hi all just started with slimming world last week and have my first wi tommorow and i was submitting my diary online and checking over everything i have had this week and was wondering if you could help me i was looking for the syn value of warburtons potato cakes now when i check online it says
Warburtons Round Potato Cakes, 6 pack 53g each
Original 7 Syns
Green 7 Syns
If you are having an Extra Easy day, choose the lower Syn value
now does that mean that it is 7 syns for all 6 or 7 syns each any help would be appreciated i have noted it down as 14 syns as i had 2 is this correct i expect it to be but one can be ever hopeful lol!
