Daily eating plan EE Morning everyone, didn't post yesterday as was at an aution freezing my butt off all day! Loads of tat for sale but did get a nice Lorna Bailey dog and some wine, didn't get the microwave which was new and boxed, but I am sure the final price was higher than it would be to buy in the shops! I dropped out before then though!:p

I was good and took a packed lunch with me and felt very virtuous when everyone else was buying hot sausages in rolls and bags of crisps from the tea corner:T

I am digressing though so here is my plan for today:

Breakfast - bacon and eggs (free) plus a satsuma and apple (free)

Lunch - Leftover bits from the fridge including a bit of chilli and a bit of pasta bake and a bit of soup. Will just mike the whole lot and pretend I got it off a hot buffet :rotfl::rotfl:(all free)

afternoon snack - a couple of alpen lights with my coffee (HEB & HEA is milk during the day in my drinks)

Dinner - again using up loads of almost empty bags of stuff but from the freezer this time! So will be putting into my Remoska - some frozen peas, frozen mushrooms, cooked and shredded frozen chicken, some bits of frozen chopped up ham, frozen pepper slices, frozen onion slices. Will add a couple mugs of water and a mug of long grain rice. Put iin soya sauce when its done and dish up to the family whilst pretending is is a recipe I got from a magazine.:D This will all be (free) however they will have some grated parmeson on theirs also. Actually I could too and syn it although it is Friday night and I may just have a glass of wine, will decide later!

This has turned into a bit of ramble hasn't it :o - sorry for the long post!

    Love
    Marion

  • Hi all,

tooth out day for me, so I haven't got a meal plan as such, but will try to stay true to SW..

I got up super early to have a cuppa (milk HA) some 0% yog and some berries and one slice wm toast (1/2 HB) as I now can't eat for 4 hours pre op..

so I am now hungry *and* thirsty.... makes me realise how used to drinking water I am..

For the rest of the day, I will choose from butternut squash soup, scrambled egg, mashed potato etc. If I feel up for it, I have the ingredients to make a moussaka or shepherds pie, and they can both be served with super soft steamed veggies.

I am hoping that normal service will be resumed tomorrow ....

If slimming world is so great and filling, why am I starving and thinking of food all the time? :(

I always tell my members that if they're hungry they're doing something wrong!

Are you sure you're actually hungry or could you need fluid? I know it sounds daft but your brain can send mixed messages. You should be aiming to drink at least 2½ litres of fluid a day (not including alcoholic drinks, lol).

Secondly, you may be thinking of food, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're hungry, just that you're used to different foods and missing them. If this is the case, try to build your favourite foods into your daily life.

If you plan properly, Slimming World menus are definitely filling and I say this from the perspective of one of the worlds biggest eaters - if they gave medals at the Olympics, I'd win a gold :rotfl:

Perhaps if you listed one of your menus for a day, we could see where you're going wrong!

I was having an EE day today, but feel I've put on so far this week so have gone back to red and green until WI on Monday.

So having green day - but I seem to have lost my appetite and the bangers and mash (meat on EE or quorn now I'm green) I had planned really doesn't appeal to me so not sure what to have for dinner :(
    Today so far;
B; beans, egg and leftover mash
S; SF orange squash in a litre of water (also got yoghurt and fruit with me but just don't fancy it)
L; Either savoury rice or pasta n sauce
    D; TBC

    C xx

The only bit that makes me ponder this is the online Food Diary as it has been set up with EE as an option to select (along with Original/Green/mix2match) and the B box only gives bread, cereal bars, cereal & crisp breads, dried, canned & cooked fruit, Hifi bar, oil and soup. Will they be updating this?

I'm sure it will be updated with the next reprint. I can assure you that you can choose any HEB from the main FO book ;)

Good luck Angie, I dont envy you, but the general anestetic (sp sorry) always makes me feel drunk, so enjoy that part while it lasts lol.

Retiredlady (Marion) can you tell me whats a Remoska? Is it a slow cooker?

I just bought a 6 litre slow cooker from Asda last night for £25. it looked like a good deal, but when i looked at the instructions and recipes, its not as straight forward as I thought. I didnt think about having to brown meat in a separate pan, and im worried that i dont get the quantity of liquid right. Are they worth it? Im considering taking it back. Ive wanted one for ages thinking of yummy stews. I dont really have spare cash to spend on another gadget i wont use IYKWIM, so any tips would be greeat thanks.
