  • I struggle with salad because I don't like bits like cucumber or peppers so it normally ends up with lettuce, tomato, type of onion and boiled egg. But I do love chicken so if I can get hold of some fromage frais, seems to be a shortage in all my local supermarkets, I could make a dressing to add a bit of flavour.

    Thanks for your advice

most welcome - or even Tuna if ya like it ... oooh sweetcorn is great in salads too - nice n sweet n crispy - though I think sweetcorn is only free on a green - so if you used it any "original" stuff like chicken or tuna - your "original" content or the sweetcorn would have to be measureed/weighed and taken as healthy extras
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing

Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

  • .. always worth checking specific brands, but I have found the ready to eat 'tikka chicken' fillets (chilled in supermarkets) are free on a red day, and jazz up a sandwich or salad no end

    Thanks :D

Had jacket potato with beans twice this week and gone off them a bit :rotfl: I'm aware from past experience I may not get a proper break and in the past I've ended up with a unhealthy (but tasty!) butty from the shop by work.

Could maybe do with ideas for things I could eat cold, in case I can't get to the microwave, but is a bit more exciting than salad. Maybe cous cous or beans, I used to have that when I last did SW
you could always get one of those hot meal tubs they do them in dunelm and wilkinsons etc theyre like short fat stumpy flasks really they keep your meal hot for they say 8 hours so easily nice and warm for a lunch break. why not pop something in one in the morning ready for lunch.

i think theyre only about £5

well i have not had hardly any syns this week and i havent eaten meat for 9 months so i think theres a chance my bodies not used to it

whereas i know i can lose with green days so im thinking i really should stick to something that works , althought tempted to try the 7 day plan in slimming world magazine with one or two slight tweaks

Had first weigh in tonight and lost 2lb. Was hoping for it to be a little bit more because I know first loss is usually high but I know I should be chuffed I've started losing :o I've had to take painkillers this week which upset my tummy and make me bloated and my consultant said I'm not eating enough so at least I have things to work on this coming week :D

I also need to work out what to have for my lunches next week as I'm going to be doing different hours at work and I know getting lunch is going to be difficult so it will have to be something ready just to eat. My consultant suggested mug shots and I will have access to a microwave so guess pasta or rice is an option.

Out of interest what syn value are mug shots?
Remember ....its not a bargain unless you need it :D
