Welcome, welcome, welcome to all newbies welcome to the club for 'fat losers' :D
( Thats what my delightful two son's call us and technically they are corredt because we are all losing fat) Hi to Catt. Hugs to judds. Chin up to Angie and congrats/sympathy/ kick up the bum to all those that need any of them!

    OK Folks Wedding Dress update!

I was a bit of a cowardy custard and waited all the way until 9 O'Clock last night to try it on. Well anyways, I got it on and managed to do up about 6 inches of the zip with about another 12 inches left gaping open ! I could probably have forced it up a tiny bit more but I didn't want to break it. I think it was mainly my boobies stopping me from being able to do it up and, although I was a teensy bit disappointed ( Well OK, a lot disappointed at the time), I suppose over the years, gaining weight/ losing weight/ gaining it again plus some more and two pregnancies thrown in for good measure your bodies proportions are going to change. Also, if a woman is going to expand anywhere, then I guess, across the bust is preferable to all the other places it could go on. I'm feeling rather chuffed with myself actually (now) although I'm now regretting not letting Hubby take a photo, at the time I was disappointed at not being able to zip up completely and so I wouldn't let him, now that I've thought it through ( see above) I am pleased with what I've achieved so far and I'm determined to get to target.

Well done Lo bush what a great achievement to fit into you wedding dress after 10 years, especially after 2 kiddies.Your right about proportions changing, especially since having kids. My boobs are now dissapearing, but ill always have that jiggly belly :o , but I have 2 lovely reasons for it being jiggly so Ive accepted the fact even when I get into that size 10  ill never be toned or have a flat stomach.
Nevermind the last few inches you couldnt zip up, think of the inches you did zip up, and could you of did it 6 months ago? Even losing another few pounds could change your shape again. So well done for having the courage to try it on again and show your hubby, it sounds like he is also proud of you. keep it up.:T

Thanks for that, it's actually after 25 years so I am feeling really proud of myself. It's been really useful to have something to aim for/focus on. My next aim is to have got to my next target by my birthday (February 4th) which will mean losing about 8lbs between now and then, so quite a big ask, but thats what I'm aiming for, I've got to keep the momentum going.
Well done you too, we're all doing so well on here, must be the MSE magic working!

  • Day 2 of my Valentines Target Challenge:

B 0% greek yog with strawberries, blueberries and banana, tea (milk from A)

L huge veg stir fry with mushrooms, a sauce made with nam pla, soy, sweetner, chilli, ginger , garlic etc

D moussaka (1/3 of plate) made with lean lamb, aubergine, potato, egg and yogurt topping, with either a very large mixed salad (2/3) or mixed superfree veggies.

I need at least 1 B choice in there (1B if I call it EE, 2B's if I call it sucess express)... not sure what to add...

Oh, and I shall spend a few syns on an alcoholic drink tonight - dutch courage for tomorrow, I am having a wisdom tooth extracted (ouch!) under anasthetic, and am not alowed to eat before hand, and won't be able to eat much afterwards either! So tomorrow will probably feature soup and scrambled eggs and very soft cottage pie and overcooked veggies!
