Chocolate Orange Couscous Cake
Syns per Serving | Green - 1 Syn
Servings | 4
Ingredients
- 4oz couscous
- 8fl oz boiling water
- 1tsp baking powder (½ Syn)
- 2tsp or 1 x 11gm sachet Cadburys Highlights hot chocolate (2 Syns)
- 2 eggs
- 2tbsp low calorie granulated sweetener
- 1 x orange, rind & juice (1 Syn)
- 1 mandarin Mullerlight yoghurt
Method
1. Soak the couscous in the boiling water for 10 minutes.
2. While the couscous is soaking, whisk all the other ingredients together. Add to the couscous & mix well. Pour into a microwavable flan dish.
3. Cook in the microwave on full power for 10 minutes.
You can change the flavour just from replacing the mullerlight flavour and the fruit.
So a lemon cake would be the new lemon flavour mullerlight with and lemon instead of an orange.
4 syns for the whole cake!!!
thank you so much!I cant wait to try it :j:j:j

Hi all, I thought I'd give you all an update. Some of you will probably remember me posting way back when I first started SW in April that one of my objectives was to be able to get back into my wedding dress on our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Well with a weightloss so far of just under 4 stone ( It did get to the 4st mark but I had a smallish gain over Christmas) I need to report to you all that tomorrow is the BIG DAY .
I'm reasonably confident(ish) that I'll be able to get it on although I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to do it up :rotfl:. I'm not at target weight yet, although I'm a lot closer now than I was. I'm feeling rather odd about it all actually, for so long it's been a far off, sometime in the future, date and now suddenly it's tomorrow. I'm a little anxious that I'll be very, VERY, disappointed if I can't get it on ( I've been telling all and sundry about trying to get back into my wedding dress!, that'll teach me for having a big mouth) and I'll be left feeling a complete plonker as well as a failure. Yet at the same time I'm, kind of, excited about it because this is what I've been working towards and focussing for all these months. I will report back tomorrow or possibly Thursday ( if I'm busy celebrating) if I've managed to achieve it or not. Wish me luck!
good luck lo bush !! will be thinking of you! :j:j:j:j:j:D:D:D:D:D:D:j:j:j:j:j I must say though - whatever happens tomorrow - what you have achieved so far is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and you should be immensely proud of yourself and celebrate in style :beer::beer::beer::beer:0 -

Well trip into town for my hair cut and Im very pleased to report that I: -
* didnt have the mcdonalds I was talking myself into having!:j
* walked past the canadian muffin shop and resisted rushing in and buying a muffin or two!
* avoided the bakery for my favourite treat - a gingerbread man!
* picked up and put back on the shelf the innocent spring water pomegranate drink - worked out just one drink would probably eat up all my day's syns so left it on the shelf!
* also walked past all the naughty treats in sainsbugs and resisted the temptation to buy a treat *just because its weigh in day* !!
I also picked up a cheap A5 diary in town which has one week spread over two pages. I intend to keep a proper record of what I munch each day even if I end up falling off the slimming world wagon.:rotfl:
I have always found that when I plan in advance, I find SW much easier to follow and get the consequent positive results on the scales :j. It will also be great to be able to refer back to it in months to come0 -
Well done you, Flat Eric! :j0

Hello everyone, I've done really well so far and have not been hungry at all, I have stuck to it 100% (all red days). There was fruit cake, Cadbury's chocolate biscuits and mini terry's orange segments in the office and I didn't have one single one. Sadly "all or nothing" appears to be my way so nothing is better than a little.
I still want to wake up and have become slim overnight though (boo)
And I've been thinking before using my inhaler, rather than automatically reaching for it when I feel a bit puffed out, and the result is that I haven't even used my inhaler once since I saw the nurse on Friday!! Maybe my asthma isn't as badly controlled as originally thought?Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
I find the same, not so much in non-stick pans but particularly on baking trays. I have a "sacrafice" baking tray that as well as normal washing up occasionally gets a really really good scrub with lots of elbow grease. Stardrops also helps remove the build up. When its too manky I just replace it with a cheap one again.
Where do you buy the liners from? Are they re-usable? sounds like a good idea
I had mine from HomeBargains (or Wilkos etc) because they were cheaper than the supermarket.. You just cut the shape you want and you can reuse them loads of times and even put them in the dishwasher. Nothing sticks to them and you can use them anywhere to catch drips etc. Lakeland do them but at more than twice the price.http://www.lakeland.co.uk/F/keyword/magic+liner
I bought a Remoska last year and lined it to stop the inside getting scratched.

The beautiful of SW is that you can have anything you fancy, if you follow the all or nothing approach for to long you may get to point when you just cant resist and eat loads of goodies.
And just think how proud of yourself you would be to have a few piece of cake or chocolate and know you havent gone of your syn allowence and have enjoyed what you did have.
Its a great feeling.:DProud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
