angie_loves_veg wrote: »Yes agreed - Our consultant gave out a recipe for 'Lockshen Bake' a jewish cake made with vermicelli (pasta)... again, a misuse, but like your consultant, says that it is OK if eaten 'sensibly' or on occasion - I think SW set the rule so that you don't spend all day eating these 'treat' foods (one girl in class *did* eat a whole cous cous cake a day, and didn't lose - she was surprised as she thought it was free food.)
These things *used* to be fine on sw - just like corned beef etc... they have simply shanged their policy on a few things to keep us all on the straight and narrow
'Lockshen Bake' a jewish cake made with vermicelli (pasta) - is this nice? When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Hi just back form WI and caught up from over the weekend. Ive been doing EE all week. I had a few hic ups at the beginning but tried to make up for it by having less syns at the end. Anyway I have lost 6 lb :j:j that takes me to 9lb away from target. (I was 7lb away before xmas :rotfl::rotfl:) Anyway it seems to be working for me, so will try it next week also. I cant see me going back to green or red again unless it doesnt work next week.
Well done to SC and Zavarony for their losses and to all others who lost or sts.
today im having a EE day
brekkie - cup of green tea and a shape lasting sat yoghurt, banana (free)
lunch - pasta, chicken, bacon, onion, mushroom with 3 syns worth of WW Parmesan and rocket tomato sauce (just under 1/2 a jar)all free apart from sauce, it made a change from my usual HM tomato sauce that I was getting fed up with
snacks - 2x plums, apple, satsuma
Dinner - HMturkey burgers with salad and SW chips, followed by black cherry mullerlite (2syns) handful of strawberries and blackberries
supper 2 slices of hm toast and jam(HEB+ 1/2 syn)
drinks - at least 1.5 litres of water and tea using milk from HEA.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
IIRC stock cubes are 0.5 syns each - I will look up the jaffa cakes unless someone knows it from their head - are they proper or supermarket own?

The first time I did SW (6 years ago ) I was having peas as free on a red day - ok, it wouldn't have stopped me losing weight (probably) but little mistakes add up! Especially those syns that don't count because no-one saw you eat them (my favourites syns!) :rotfl:
Tomorrow is a red day as I bought a joint of beef in Tesco this morning and it was reduced in price.
Dinner - beef, swede, carrots, sprouts, brocolli (all free)
The beef has the fat tied on so that will be dumped before cooking and water added into the foil to keep it moist. Gravy is made with the juices, cornflour and stock cubes. I won't have any other syns tomorrow except for this so aren't really worried about it.
tea - fruit - may be apple, melon, or whatever
supper - 90g wholemeal bread (2HEB), 50g cheese (2HEA) tomato - made into toastie (I love this for supper and have to eat some full fat cheese at some time for calcium as I am not allowed milk)
I will be weighing tomorrow after tea and will let you all know what happens. I may give up classes soon as this thread is so brilliant.
I am now not allowed chocolate of any sort (liquid or solid) so ought to change my signature."Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" Cerys Matthews0 -
