Good luck Burlesque Babe. I think we've all got to think of it as a lifelong thing - I know I went back to (seriously bad) old habits when I stopped going to class the first time, and put it all back on plus some!
I never want to do that again.
I've done 3.5stone in 5 months before, but if I set myself a target then it might make me push a bit harder. I will definately need to up my exercise too and think when the spring comes I will try and start to walk to work at least once a week to start with (under 2 miles each way, but down unlit country roads (can't even cycle as its too dangerous and the footpaths are too narrow)
I think 2009 is going to be good for all of us!
I'm trying to not eat too much naughty stuff, but then I think I have to in order to get rid of it before Monday!I'm not the sort to dump it or give it away as I've paid for it! :rotfl: :money:

I know I'm not supposed to ask (but I have been a class member for nigh on 6 years and will be again from Monday!) but can anyone PM me the password pls? Need to check some products for syns etc before I go shopping!
Thanking you very muchly!0 -
Good luck Catt and Burlesque. I'm going to have one last day of xmas excess tomorrow (I've put on weight...A lot of weight. I haven't weighed myself, but my jeans tell me that much!) then it's back firmly on the wagon as I'm back at work on Wed so will find it so much easier to resist the xmas treats that we still have!I saw two shooting stars last night

are there any classes between Christmas and New Year for anyone? Just wondering about the official 'launch' of the new plan.

Hello All!,
You are all so inspiring and I am so glad I stumbled upon this thread yesterday!.
I Have successfully done SW in the past and have given myself a very firm talking too and intend to make this MY year!
I am hoping (if funds allow?) to join a class after Jan payday but I was hoping for a teeny weeny bit of syn value help.
Today I used a Knorr stock cube to make veg stock (7kal) for a soup at lunchtime, and I have prepared a Jamie Oliver porridge recipe for tommorrows breakfast before I realised that the yogurt I have put in it is not a VVF! Its a Nestle SKI low fat (114kal).
Is the principle of around 20kals = 1 syn still applicable?
Also are ALPEN LIGHT bars still 2 = 1 HB?
Many, many thqanks if anyone can help.

20kals - 1 syn - pretty much though there are the odd exceptions.
Yes, AFAIK 2 Alpen Light bars are still 1 HEb.

Hey all,
So glad I stumbled on this board tonight! I joined SW about 4 years ago and lost about 1st 1/2, however this has crept back on again (and some!) and I am wanting to rejoin. Down side is I'm really skint atm and was going to do this at home myself, however I know the classes are really useful. Does anyone know how much the class is each week just so I can see if I can budget it in coming into the new year?
Great to see that the support is there when I do rejoin!

Classes are £4.50 per week. I think the first week is £9.50 as you pay to join as well.I saw two shooting stars last night
