Above idea is far more MSE, but if not, do you drive to college?

If so then this looks useful!

Zavarony - you could buy a thermal mug (I think shell still have an offer on at the moment buy a 2.99 coffee get the mug free) and make up a mug shot in it. I'm jut not sure if that would stay hot for 6 hours or so, probably more like 3-4.

Asda do food flasks for £3 ish, and they're great to make pasta & sauce or packets of savoury rice in - simply pour boiling water over the contents, give it a good stir and open when you're ready to eat it (tends to take 20 mins to cook and then obviously stays warm)

Just re read this an like the ida of being able to have pasta n sauce

thanks to all for the ideas and support!!

I wouldn't cook pasta n sauce or savoury rice before you go to college - it becomes mush by the time you want to eat it. I'd just borrow the kettle 30/40mins before you want to eat (if poss). Add the hot water to the dried food inside your flask and just reseal until its cooked! :j

weird question . me being facetious
if some thing is 45kcal , 0.8g protein , 10g carb, 0.3g fat and you have a 10g portion its free... on ee but
if you were to have 100g it would be 2.5 syns so could i have 10 * 10g portions and it be free or would it be 2.5 syns

its apricot jam so to be honest one would be very sick if i ate that much but i just thinks its odd

  • Zavarony, you can also get wide-necked flasks in which you could keep stew or pasta that you warm up before leaving home.

Skintcatt, I'm glad to meet another FitFlop fan! For anyone who wears (or wants to wear) MBTs (Masai Barefoot Technology, same principle as FitFlops but more trainer-shaped so IDEAL for power walking, plus firming up muscles etc) they are currently down to just under £100 in JB Sports, I think i was JB sports I saw them in anyway. I know even £100 isn't really MSE but I've had one pair for a year and looked at the sole today and there's not a sign of wear and I use them almost every day.

  • Hi Rob, there are a few things I think are odd, though I haven't a clue to the answer to your question.

    Mine are:
why does cooked fruit have a syn value but cooked tomatoes and peppers don't - they are also fruit
why is pitta bread a syn when regular bread is ahealthy extra? I much prefer a warm pitta with fresh salad in , but hey ho.

Mine are Fitflop Gogh's which are the close in mule - very warm and comfy but do tend to slip off! Mine were £52 just before Xmas :T

Is it something to do with fibre? in that pitta doesnt have the fibre that wholemeal bread does? christ knows about the fruit thing, I think its crap that tinned fruit in its own juice has to be synned when it has no more calories than fresh fruit. I cant always afford fresh fruit.
