  • Hello
Can I join in here, joined a group last Monday for the first time. I was a postal member in 1999 and lost a whopping 5 stone in less than a year and was never hungery or deprived.

I'm really excited about starting again, I've had 4 children since and i've not exercised etc like I used to , I've gained quite a bit but hey ho thats in the past .

It's time for action ! I'm really excited baout the new plan "extra easy" and I've had extra wasy days most of this week , wow I just love the extra option it gives you.

Just ordered some syn free sausages from joessausages.co.uk anyone had them ? I'd be interested in recommendations.

I've had an EE day today and really enjoyed it.

Breakfast - hifi bar and cup of tea
Lunch - Jacket potato with beans and salad and a pot of tea
Dinner - Steak, SW chips, mixed veg and a spoonful of peppercorn sauce
Snacks - mullerlight yoghurts, mango slices and a small piece of Galaxy chocolate

I think I've less than 15 syns for the day, I dont know the exact amount in the peppercorn sauce but the whole packet was 4.5syns and I only had a spoonful of the made up sauce.

  • Hi, for breakfast i often use a Jamie Oliver recipe, but the SW way!

    28g porridge oats (HEB)
mix it with any SW friendly yogurt and bung it in a tupperware in the fridge overnight.

I often take it into work to have at break time too.

You can vary it by adding fruit, nuts, honey or whatever takes your fancy.

For a really lovely desert / snack I make up a sugar free jelly with 3/4 pint water and leave to cool until almost set. I then add any SW friendly yogurt and blast with hand blender until light and fluffy. Chill until firm.
( my favorite is an orange jelly and a lemon or pineapple yogurt for a really refreshing St. Clements flavour) :D
    Skint!! But hey, L:heartpulsves FREE!!

What are Joes Sausages and burgers like? I've had a look at the website and the products look interesting but its a big commitment to order 8 packs at a time. I wouldnt have the freezer space for all that!

I'll see if my local deli sell them, otherwise I'll stick to quorn sausages even if they do seem a little bland at times!

  • Zavarony - you could buy a thermal mug (I think shell still have an offer on at the moment buy a 2.99 coffee get the mug free) and make up a mug shot in it. I'm jut not sure if that would stay hot for 6 hours or so, probably more like 3-4.

Asda do food flasks for £3 ish, and they're great to make pasta & sauce or packets of savoury rice in - simply pour boiling water over the contents, give it a good stir and open when you're ready to eat it (tends to take 20 mins to cook and then obviously stays warm)

I should get them Tuesday so I will post about them then. I've just placed my 1st order. But if I like them I may see if anyone else in the SW group would like some, it's supposed to be next day delivery so if we all ordered on one order we'd save ourselves the minmum order and the £6.99 postage :-)

Hmmmm that is awkward if you have no microwave! Do you have access to a kettle? The only thing I can think of are those mugshot things, or the fat free noodles where you just need to pour hot water on them but I couldn't think of anything warm for a red day. You don't work outside do you? Brrrr I couldn't think of anything worse at this time of year.

Thanks - I could ask the tutors to borrow the kettle i never thought of that (:o :rotfl: :o ) but there are no other facilities provided for our use - its all vending machine chocolate/crisps etc so i took fruit this week and nearly caved in cos i was starvin!!!
will def try that - i love mug shots!!

  • Above idea is far more MSE, but if not, do you drive to college?

If so then this looks useful!
