Well, thanks to this thread we are lovely and tidy and ready for Christmas (except for my room and everyone needs to stay out of there!). Thank you to pigpen and all!
I didn't realise there were jobs to do Christmas Day though - is there no such thing as a day off or am I just lazy?? (In my defence, we eat at Mum's and do help tidy up, plus I always make the kids stack (or completely put away) their new stuff.0 -
Tuesday - Time's nearly up!!!
- WRAP WRAP WRAP!.........only OH's to do, will do those when he has gone to bed
- Relax, enjoy yourselves and have a lovely time with your family!!
- If it isn't done now you don't need it to be done it isn't important!
I HAVE DONE ALL MY IRONING!!!!
Town was rubbish, a couple of shops closing/closed down, a bit sad really, woolies has been there since i was little!!!
OH,can some one please remind me to check the meat at 9.00, OH has done the veg and gone to bed, he is feeling really rough, and not eaten all day!!0 -

Thursday - CHRISTMAS DAY!- Bag up all the wrapping paper and put it outside!
- Delegate pot washing/DW loading!
- Slice off the remaining meat and either freeze or refridgerate for tomorrow!
- Save remaining cooked veg for stew! It can be frozen if you don't want to eat it in the next few days.. or sling it in the crock pot with the carcass for stock!
- Before children go to bed they must stack their new things nicely!
- A quick S&S over the kitchen should see it looking fabulous again If you leave it by New year it will be a tip!!
- Prepare any run and grab style food for Boxing day.. I know a lot of families have get togethers on the 26th.
- Wipe the table/table cloth
- Put the best crockery/glasses away
- Go play with the children .. eat lots of junk food and delegate as much as possible!!

No use asking me, I've scoffed an entire box of chocolate Brazils today and almost finished an entire box of mint matchmakers
Think that means I can keep eating more then"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

'Five varieties of chocolates, all with a hint of mint'
I have:
- dark chocolate mint crisp
- solid milk and white chocolate with a hint of mint
- dark chocolate with a mint fondant centre
- milk chocolate mint crisp
- milk chocolate with dark mint truffle centre
It is one of the few boxes of chocolates where I actually like all of them!
Then as long as it says nothing about prescribed amounts and dangers of overdose on the box - eat as many as you like:DI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

What's left
[*]Make sure your timetable for christmas day is sorted and everyone knows their tasks.. who is spud peeling? Who is stuffing the bird etc..?
[*]get out any special christmas crockery and make sur eit is all clean and nice to use.. placemats etc too!
[*]Have a skim through the TV guide and decide what you want to watch.. it saves missing bits of stuff if you know what is on and when!! Don't forget to make time for Queenie! found the guide, had a quick look, kids to mark what they want to watch
[*]Toy boxes can be banished upstairs!
[*]Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat!
[*]Prepare veg for christmas dinner .. store covered in cold water overnight, it will be fine!
[*]Prepare any other bits.. stuffing, salad etc Make starters before bed.. sneaky but a great idea!
[*]set up the video & camera!!! Fully charged and ready to roll!!
[*]Relax, enjoy yourselves and have a lovely time with your family!!I'm going to leave veg and stuffing until tomorrow but get OH to do the pots tonight.
Going to cook the giblets for the cats now and then look at the tv guideThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
