Back to say - Anyone with children, if you go to the Norad site, there is also a link to Track Santa in 3D (Google Earth). It's great and it must be foggy, because Rudolph is at the front, complete with glowing red nose!

Don't have to have children - we've watched it for years, before and with DS. And have to keep checking even when he's in bed!

I am now about to make mince pies. Leeks are all chopped so that's one less job to do on Friday. I have a chicken to cook so I can dismantle it for the pie and I'm wondering whether it'll be alright if I cook it tonight and leave it covered in the fridge till Friday morning when I can cut it up? Anyone know? I'm presuming it'll be fine!

Gryf, as long as you cool it quickly and cover it, it'll be fine to use on Friday

Thanks soappie :) Just don't want the hassle on Friday of cooking it and taking it apart before lunch.

Oh and I've decided on an avatar change for Christmas <
I thought I'd drew a dog with a hat but only have a cat with a Santa hat on, so I've decided on Rudolph :)

Pastry is in the fridge and I'm just trying to work out what else I need to do before children come home. If chip shops aren't open then it's picnic tea on the floor.

    Turkey help needed!

I took the Turkey joint out of the freezer last night and put it in the fridge to defrost, checked it this morning and it was still frozen so bunged it on the top of the fridge so it would defrost quicker, still frozen underneath at tea-time (wanted to cook it this avo) so bunged it in the microwave on the defrost setting, it's taken ages and had to nip out for DD1 so it was sat doing nothing for half an hour, finished it off when I came back and it was warm and partially cooked underneath, I've put it in the oven but am now panicking that it may not be ok to eat tomorrow? Will it?
