Ok I'm off clearing again! What's everyone eating for tea? I haven't done anything yet and the children will need feeding soon. I have however just noticed the leaves of the leeks I have in the cupboard going a bit slimy so I'm going to chop them up now for Friday and stick them in the fridge.Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible0 -
I'm back from the Nativity which was very sweet but all the Carols made me feel quite teary
And then I got even more teary cos people were asking how I was
Now eating home-made curry and looking at the ironing
I should be feeling cheery cos it's nearly Christmas but ..................

Just had a couple of gins with nice neighbour. It was a bit of a mistake - I shouldn't have sat down! I now want to just curl up and sleep.
But, I'll find some reserves from somewhere and get this cranberry sauce and stuffing and starters made!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Ok so I messed up melting the first lot of white choc cos i got water in it and it went yukky but one emergency trip to the spar later I have these enough for 2 boxes of presents with 12 of those and 12 squares of rocky road plus some left over for us to munchMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Evening everyone
Well, I still have the presents to wrap, but.........all the cleaning is done, the decorations are up (it looks like Santa's grotto) and I've done baking. :j OH scrubbed the shower room floor, he and sis did the tree,(but they've forgotten my porcelain bells and angels.) and he just went and started cooking dinner - fresh pasta and sauce with garlic bread, quick and easy.
Pigpen - you lucky girl! And love the nails.
So, as I know I won't be on here tomorrow, and need to log off to wrap now..........
Thank you all for my lovely Christmas Cards, and have a wonderful Christmas.
Hugs to all who are thinking of "the empty place".
Parable of Immortality
"I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, 'There she goes!'
Gone where? Gone from my sight ... that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, 'There she goes!' there are other eyes watching her coming and their voices ready to take up the glad shouts 'Here she comes!'"~ by Henry Van Dyke ~1852 - 1933

Back to say - Anyone with children, if you go to the Norad site, there is also a link to Track Santa in 3D (Google Earth). It's great and it must be foggy, because Rudolph is at the front, complete with glowing red nose!DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419
