Radio is not that good on mine either, called Creative who told me that the antenna is activated by the headphones, so suggested buying a new set, good advice but why not put decent headphones on it in the first place!! also suggested making sure we have the latest firmware downloaded. Partly wanted this player for the radio, so want to ensure that it works properly, might have to get some decent headphones using the money I've saved!!

The aerial is actually formed from the headphone lead, which does the same job as a telescopic aerial on a normal FM radio. The only difference you might get is if different headphones have a different length lead - not necessarily the longer the better either! Moving the lead about and straightening it will affect reception, but not so practical if the player is supposed to be living in your pocket.

Is there any Creative Zens in stock in any store throughout London? I would be happy to go to any store in LONDON to get this. I want it so badly.

do'h. just went to the High Wycombe branch. There all sold out.

Guy said there end of line, so hopfully online prices will take a dive!

OK Guys and Girls. Here are the facts from the horses mouth ( I contacted Staples):

"These items have been discontinued from our stores and now reduced in price. The pricing issues you have experienced is due to the fact that these have been
discontinued in stages, and we have decided that we will no longer be selling these products once the stock has been cleared from our stores. The prices have all lowered from 30/12/05 to 16/01/06, and now retail in our stores at £79.99."

All colours have been reduced now. However there is very little stock around as most have sold.

There is no stock left in York I know that for a fact.

Well that probably explains it then - this site does not allow trading between members. I'm sure it's explained in the rules somewhere, but I guess it could encourage the unscrupulous to try to turn it into a marketplace.
