    Hello
    Poorly sick today :(
Still have temperature and feel quite yuck so OH rang midwife whilst I was asleep and she is popping by to have a look at me. Poor little Aidan has a bloated tummy, doesnt seem to be bothering him at all but upset me. Also got upset as I couldnt lift him or do anything with him yesterday as I felt so sore and rundown so there were a few tears. Cant have a bath at mo Sue cant get in and out as still in too much pain and cant put full weight on it. Will try bathing it though.
OH is working from home until Thursday but Friday he actually has to go to the office  not sure how I will manage on my own, might see if mum will come round?

Nothing MSE to report, just making sure I still log onto here and have a look and also keep doing my daily scracthcards.
Sorry, this is a bit miserable isnt it? :p

Oh honey, if your scar is infected then you need it swabbed and antibiotics prescribing. GO AND SEE YOUR GP. I got a wound infection after my last section 2 years ago. It was horrid.

The antibiotics they give you for it taste and smell revolting and are the size of horse pellets!!!:p But they work. My scar is nice and neat now. I have been cut open that many times i am thinking of having either a zip or velcro put in.

Hope you feel better soon....and one other thing. You should be having a few early nights. Are you sleeping during the day when Aiden is?

Bless you. At about 4 or 5 months they start going to bed earlier and sleeping through. Its bliss!:Dxxx

edit: just noticed, I have earned another star!!!Yippee!!!!:j :j :j

All the best Pips Mum, I do hope you're soon feeling so much better. It's never easy the first time round anyway, but, infections aside, it all soon falls into plan and you get more confident by the day as you really start to 'know your baby'. We all have to get there first, but we do! If your Mum can come round on Friday then let her do as much as she wishes while you remain worry-free!

Thinking of you, Pip and Pip's Dad too!

  • Hiya pipsmum, hope your starting to feel better?? if no improvment after 3 days go to your gp as may not be on the right antibiotics!!! sorry to hear aiden may have colic. my friends baby had it and found swaddling her nice and snug after a feed helped a little with the spasms and also keeping her upright a short while after she has fed helped too. her little one used to look like a slug wrapped in her blanket nicely nestled over her shoulder. If it is colic then rest assured it does go by the time they are 3-4months old. you can also get colic drops on prescription (free!!!!!!!!) that you have to mix with a little milk before you feed that may help.

ok, enough with the advice now, hope im not teaching you to suck eggs??(as the saying goes) wish i lived near you so could take pip for you for an hour or two and let you catch up on your sleep.........

    Hi All

Feel a bit happier today as OH let me lie in again!!
He is such a good baby all day but it gets to Midnight (is it because its the witching hour I wonder!!) and he becomes a nightmare. He grizzles until 2am, there is nothing he needs he is fed, dry and burped, cuddles dont work either. I suppose we should be glad that he is not like that all day. We swaddle him anyway, I call him mummys little glow worm!!:rotfl:
Going to register him today, must remember to take my purse as we will need parking money and his Birth certificates are £4.50 each!!

I thank you all for the nice words and advice, I really didnt think it would be THIS hard!!! How naive was I!!:rotfl:

Again, I'm not a bad mum, BUT I used to let my lo cry....I knew she was clean, dry, fed, burped, warm.......and she cried for about an hour, then fell asleep.....about three weeks of that and she slept through the night, 12-7.

Might be something to consider. Although, tbh, I found it very hard to just listen to her cry.....but in hindsight I'm glad I persevered(sp?)

I hope your infection clears soon......and we were all that niave when pfb came along
