I'm glad everything is going ok, your brilliantly organised with the shopping, good luck with the meal planning, as the other poster said dont forget to apply for tax credits.
Glad mum is there with you?
Hows Aiden and his colic, I dont know if you ever saw the On the Buses films, but in the 1st Olive is rubbing the gripe water into the babies tummy, as it says on the bottle for the tummy...... xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
hello pipsmum, your doing so well still getting all the daily clicks etc done!! and the meal plan!!
I think it will def benifit Aiden if mummy is at home longer so a good idea to pay it into that fund!!
Glad the scar is getting a bit better!

Mum2one - Funnily enough I did see that film over Christmas and New Year at my mums house :rotfl:
Looked on the Gov website about tax credit and ooodellally its complicated!! Might cheat and phone them and get them to do the hard work!!
Just managed to sit and add up my spends for the live on £4000 challenge and I am over my "other" budget by £85.15  in my defence have had to buy loads of baby bits that I hadnt anticipated. Because I am not allowed to drive due to the C section I have saved the £10 budgetted for petrol and tax dsc was only £66 not £70 like I had budgetted for, also have £11 for gifts that I havent used due to buying them in Boots sale before challenge started.
So all in all I reckon that makes me £60.15 over my budget so will need to make that up next month some how.
I have £9.25 left of Grocery allowance but sure that will get used up!!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Hi Pipsmum :hello:
Our DD had colic when she was very young but luckily she's now over that. We used Infacol too, but one of the things our midwife suggested was to lie her on her back on our laps, with her head on our knees, and then pump her legs back and forth - looks very strange but apparently this helps work wind through and makes it easier for babies to... erm... pass wind! It seemed to work for our DD, though she's now getting a bit too big for it - she's only just 3 months old but is already too long for some of her 3-6 months clothes (perhaps we stretched her??)Mortgage-Free Wannabe!

How bad is this I have popped on and off of forum all week but couldnt be bothered to update my own diary!!
Well I am here now so.......- Added up my January spends for live on £4000 challenge and I overspent by £70:eek: Did have to buy quite a few baby bits that I hadnt anticipated but hopefully all set now so can do better with budget in February.
- Placed an order with Approved foods, realised after some things said out of stock so not sure what will happen with that, any ideas?
- Had some coupons for Daily Mail half price and it also said if I have another 6 weeks of half price vouchers they will also send me £50 of M+S vouchers!! I have looked and looked for the catch but really cant see one.
- Still doing my daily Scratches
- Surveys are still getting done as and when I get them, havent got time to actively hunt them out now so just have to rely on the emails.
- Thinking about what items to stockpile for when I am no longer receiving any maternity pay and how best to get them cheap. Items like toiletries, loo rolls, cleaning bits and tinned foods.
- I have hand written invites for Pips Naming Ceremony rather than pay £100 for printed ones also typed menus for the above and printed them myself rather than pay venue to do it (cheeky so and so`s, like I am not paying them enough already!!)
- Have been doing "baby cycling" with Pip and that, infacol and boiled water seems to be doing the trick. He is a little nightmare though as it takes us at least 2 hours to get him to go off to sleep at night, he is WIDE awake!! Think he thinks he is nocturnal, any ideas how to get him to switch round?
- Pip has changed so much already even in 3 weeks, his head and neck are so strong and he can hold it up himself. He also rolls round on the floor, if you put him on his side he can roll onto his back and vice versa. Getting a bit worried how quick he is growing up, at this rate he will be getting married next month!!:rotfl:

Your have to let us know how u get on with the Approved Food, just came across it last night, Aiden sounds like hes coming on great guns.
if your going to stock pile, the best bet are things like you listed, toilettries, loo roll, but look at teabags, coffee,
Also without being cheeky, nows the time to look at birthday presents / xmas lists, see if there is anyone you can cut out/cut back, as you have the perfect excuse having Pip. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Another thought, I do the Postal thing, they dont pay cash, u get pd in stamps, and they send u items to post, and they send u things in the post, you log on and enter them, I get 12 x 1st class stamps and 4 x large 1st class a month, and sometimes they ask you to post an extra item and send u 6 x 1st class stamps.
(The stamps come in very handy for xmas).
Its all dependant on how many are in your postal area, but ur interested send me a pm, and I'll give u the email address for them. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
