Hope OH is ok, and theres not to much damage to the car. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Just popping in to catch up. Does your heating go off at midnight? Could it be the lack of 'burring' can't think how to describe boiler sound...that wakes him up? Took me weeks to work out it was the milkman that woke up my Ds at 2.30 am.

About your scar....I had a manky scar and it really made me feel rough...wasn't allowed out of hospital for 10 days. I dont know if you have a bit of a belly overhang..I did...... my doc told me that the fact that the scar never got any air didnt help ...he advised laying on the bed and blowdrying the scar with a hairdryer....highly amusing...but worked at helping the scar dry out......hope that helps.

It does get easier....hang on in there.

    Hi All

Bit of a mixed bag day today.

Little Pip screamed and screamed all night and best part of day so I am very tired. He is now curled up fast asleep tucked under my tshirt with his head poking out the neckhole!! Looks a bit strange but he is safe, seems to like it and most importantly QUIET!!! :rotfl:

Thinking about getting a sling or baby carrier so he can feel safe and cosy but I can still get on with jobs. Any ideas how you can make one out of a sheet like you see the African ladies doing?

Health visitor came and he now weighs.......wait for it...... 11lb 4oz!!!! He is the same size as an average 3 month old!! He is such a chunk!! She said he may be lactose intolerant which is making his colic worse so tomorrow got to try and find something called coleif (?) she said its around £11 a bottle:eek: but will be worth it if it soothes him.

Im hanging in there though Payback and yes there is definate overhang going on!!:rotfl:

Still worrying about te £500 excess we have to find, car wont be ready for about 3 weeks but my MOT is also due on 22nd February so we are really going to struggle this month, glad its a short one. I am not sure where to even begin to try and find the money so I think VERY reluctantly it wil have to go on a CC.

I won another £5 love to shop voucher from my TV survey. I am saving all the vouchers up for when I am no longer getting any wages as they can be spent in lots of shops so bound to be of some use.

  • Sorry you're having a bit of a mare. My Ds was a whopper too. Remember babies don't read books so he doesn't know how much he 'shiould' be having at each feed! I can't remember now but i know my one was having 9oz bottles while all his 'mates' were having 5ozs. Could it be your babe is just hungry?...I don't know but just an idea. I remember being incredulous when i had fed DS and he bawled and mum said..'he's still hungry' but she was right annoyingly! He is now a strapping 7 year old and will undoubtedly be 6ft 5! have you tried the hairdryer...it's good for a giggle and does help.

  • Sorry, was typing one handed before with ds2 trying his best to press buttons!!!!
Colief works on the basis of helping them to break down the lactose in the milk thus (oh my god, no idea where that word came from!!) easing the tummy spasms.
My mate got hers on prescription for her little one so was free!!!! You just need to mix it with a little bottle/breast milk before his feed (just like the infacol) Colic usually gets better by the time they are 3 months.......
I was going to ask what the tv survey was too mummy, i would love to get £5 vouchers, would come in very handy!!

    Hi!

Will look into getting it on prescription, wouldnt have thought of that so thanks Rags. I get IBS which health visior said is similar to colic so I do feel sorry for the little chap as its very painful.

Stupid me didnt think of googling slings, Doh!! Cheers Mummy

The TV survey is really easy. You just log on and select on a chart what tv programmes you watched the day before and then answer a couple of quaestions on it. Its not a paid survey as you get your reward in prize draw tickets but I have been lucky and won each of the 2 months I have been doing it. Try this link, not sure it will let you register from it as I registered through another survey site but cant remember which unfortunately.

Payback - Pip is the same, he has 240ml (9oz) every 3 - 4hours. A little worried as when I had the pulmonary embolism when pregnant I had to have a scan and the radioactive stuff they injected me with may have affected his thyroid which poss may explain him being so big and eating so much. Waiting for the test results so fingers crossed its not that and he is just a chunk!!
