No Money Mummy to Millionaire Mummy!!

I shall come to you for more tips Mummy!
Again nothing new news wise on Mr Pips job, he had 2 interviews yesterday and another last Tuesday, all went OK but of course you cant tell. One from yesterday was a bit more money than he is on now but will be using A LOT more petrol so we wouldnt see an increase really.
So it definately looks like we will both be unemployed from Tuesday, he got paid today so next month shouldnt actually be too stressful as it will just be like an ordinary month. Hopefully this will give him a bit more time to find some work, its not for want of trying he is applying for tonnes! Going to get him to do the Online registration for JSA on Tuesday night so we can get that ball rolling incase, it will make us a joint claim so not sure how that affects it??? I am still looking but now at 25 weeks pregnant its pretty doubtful! The only ones that I could possibly do at the minute are cleaning jobs but they are all for about 5 hours a week at £6 an hour so would "earn" less than JSA, only way would be to try and get 2.
Went to Mr Ms today for food shop, took a calculator (yes I got some funny looks but dont really care!) wanted to spend just £40 as that got me the 6p off a litre petrol voucher. Came in at £42.60:money: and that included 2 more packs of the 60 nappies and also the loo rolls that are on offer. Planned my meals carefully and I found Sainsburys eat well for less site really useful. Mr Ms have a baby event on and Dad treated us to 2 new car booster chair things ( booster but with sides IYSWIM!) for when Pea arrives, Pip can go into the new booster chair and Pea can go in the old chair. They were reduced from £59.99 to £25 so a really good bargain.
Spent some time on the survey sites this evening and also maximiles and swags, every little helps right?

Well that was an interesting night............NOT!
Put Pip to bed and could hear him pottering about still ages after so Mr Pips sneaked upstairs and heard that he was "reading" himself a Thomas story, doing the seperate voices and everything! So he moved my little pot of loose coins nearer his door and propped his phone on it to record him. A bit later we heard "Mummy, Daddy I think Ive done something a bit naughty" so again Mr Pips went up and was told that Pip had swallowed a 2p!!!
I asked friends on Facebook, rang local out of hours Doctors and also NHS Direct and all said we had to take him to A&E so off we went. Got there at 9pm and got home at 1am!!! He had an Xray to confirm it was in his tummy not lodged in his chest and then just wait for nature. To be fair I think they did quite well seeing him that quickly as it was heaving in there and of course he had to choose a flipping Saturday night didnt he and the place was full of drunks and people who had been in fights. When we got trhough Triage she moved us to a seperate little waiting room so he wouldnt be scared by them.
I guess he was being very MSE by knowing where his money was!:money:
At least we will be having a NSD as none of us have any energy to go out! Also we didnt manage to eat tea last night so Ive got no cooking to do tonight.

Yes thats very true Mum2one we always let him off a bit lighter if he has confessed to something than letting us find out!
Mr Pips rang Sky and told them we would both have no job so were thinking of leaving and they managed to reduce bill from £56 a month down to £30! Could have got it lower if we lost Disney but want to try and hang on to it a bit longer for Pip.
He is going to ring A&L tomorrow and ask them if they will let us go onto interest only for the mortgage for a couple of months whilst he finds work, will keep you posted.

Is it wrong that the main thing I'm wondering is whether the MSEr in you is going to put that 2p back into the change jar?? :money::D:p:oHalf of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Bless pip eating a 2p, and thank goodness it didnt get lodged on the way down. Puts me to shame as i gag and struggle to swallow tiny tablets with pints of water!!!
Fingers crossed for getting the interest only mortgage and for mr pip finding a job.
Its amazing how much sky will drop to now to keep customers. I might just try it to see if they will drop mine! (or is that dishonest as no intentions of leaving?!?!?!?)December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Definitely try with Sky, regardless of having no intentions to leave. Most people get some reduction, and the worst they can say is No, so you say you'll talk to your partner first and get back to them so you don't have to actually cancel.
I've heard people phone up again, speak to someone different, and get what they want then!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

i did with sky when I wanted multiroom, 1st person quoted me £200, said cancel - they wouldn't budge. Rang next day threaten to cancel asked why said wanted multi rm, doesn't loyalty count,... (been with sky 20 yrs), got my multiroom for free + reduction on bill. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
